Pinnacle Systems movie box USB users manual. How can I get one?

I think you have to install the "Pinnacle Studio" Video Editing Software BEFORE you attach the USB Cable to the Pinnacle MovieBox. After the Studio software is installed on your PC, your PC should automatically recognize the MovieBox. You shouldn't really need a Manual for the MovieBox, it should just be a "Plug and Play" device once you install Studio. The MovieBox just translates the Analog Video signal (like the Output from a VCR- the yellow red and white cables) to a Digital signal into your PC via a USB Input. At that point on the Studio software, the "Capture" tab should recognize the signal from your "Source" (VCR, Videocamera, etc.) Then you can edit your captured video. If your PC still doesn't "see" the Moviebox, there is a dropdown box in the "Capture" settings with selections for "Capture Device". It may have a couple of choices besides "Pinnacle MovieBox" such as a "webcam" or some other video capture device. Just select the "Moviebox". The one other problem you may encounter is that some older versions of "Pinnacle Studio" don't work on Windows 10. If so, your only easy option may be to try it on an old Windows XP machine. I like the older versions of "Studio" more than the newer versions, so I still use an old off-line XP computer. Hope that works.

How can I import my videos from my Hi8 video camera to the Dazzle Plus Pinnacle 12

Welcome to fixyah,

Open your Studio 12 and then click on capture tab and then go ahead and click on setup capture source under video click and choose your dazzle device. Connect your yellow red and white cable to your dazzle and then end part to your HI 8 camcorder. Open your camcorder and when the video showing to your preview windows of Studio 12 then hit start capture

I downlad the driver but does not show the preview window

You might want to try this. Minimize the Studio window, then reopen it. The preview should show. This works for me.

JVC GR-D70u don't transfer video to pc

At times the "failed to build a preview graph" error measage appears when the editor has a problem with the capture file format. By STUIO 8 I presume you mean PINNACLE STUDIO 8? Try changing your capture settings, like MPEG to AVI or vice versa.
Otherwise download the latest patch for Studio 8 from www.pinnaclesys.com . It's free if you have registered your copy of the software.
Let's hear from you again. All the best.

How do i hook my pinnacle to my ps3

To capture in Studio you need to know what type of device you will be capturing with.
There are 3 types
  • USB devices (like the 710&510 USB, and the Dazzle DVC 150 etc)
  • PCI cards (like the Movie Board, Movie Board Plus, 700&500 PCI)
  • 1394 cards
All these devices are setup in the same place in Studio but you will need to know what you have so you can make the right selections in the Capture source settings window.
To get to the settings window, hit the capture tab at the top of the screen from anywhere in Studio.
Note: When you go to the capture tab, if you have not changed the settings you may get a message saying it does not detect a DV camcorder.
When you hit the Settings button it will bring up this screen. Hit the capture Source tab. This is the capture source screen. This screen allows you to change what device Studio will use to capture. Notice the default is DV camcorder.
You can read the next step to hook your pinnacle up to youe PC reading the link below:

Hope it helps.

No colour when I record using the Dazzle DVD Recorder.

Get a program called amcap and you also need pinnacle studio first open pinnacle studio then go to capture then if your using 12 dv then open amcap an error will come up then go to options then video filter settings or something then where it says pal or ntsc change it to secam b then go to pinnacle studio and look at the preview, it is in color then when you start recording it goes black and white again so open amcap go to options then video capture filter then change secam to ntsc then apply then go to secam b again then it will be recording in color then you have to cut out the black and white in pinnacle studio or any other video editing program I use sony vegas pro 9 then search tutorials on the program but it is easy in any program really.

Pinnacle MovieBox USB Power

You can use a universal one but it has to be 3.3 Volts at 3 AMPS and the tip of the plug must be positive. If you have a radio shack by you they should be able to get you the correct adaptor.

Thanks,
Mark
