You need to do it only once! Capture perfect remembers the previous setting. If you install Capture perfect in another system it will be only in the defalut mode. You cannot transfer the settings

Clean the glass thoroughly. Try Automatic settings and try various contrast levels in mamual mode.

Assuming the document going through the scanner looks normal, there are a few things to check. If you open Capture Perfect, you can adjust the contrast and brightness as well as the thresholds. Sometimes different toners react differently to the scanner...paper is a big thing too. Multi-part forms can be tricky to get the settings adjusted so you pick up enough of the text but not that on the other side. If it's still messing up, you can try and get it serviced. About 99% of the time, there is something stuck on the lens. Our clients that use these are hard to convince of this, but often if you take a small flashlight, you can either find something stuck on one of the lenses or there's a scratch on one. If it's scratched, you're out of luck and will have to replace it. Otherwise, use a light alcohol based pad and clean with it wrapped around your fingernail. Kodak scanner cleaning supplies work great.

Check if you have selected 'multipage' option. Then you will get only a single file, but with multiple pages.
If your question is that the second or subsequent pages are not pulled in for scanning, then you need to change the rubber rollers.
