Did you configure the router, to select:

1. SSID, the "name" of your network;
2. encryption-level. Hint: use 'WPA' or 'WPA2'.
3. password to your network.

If so, then enter the SSID/password on the iPad, to connect to your network.

SOURCE: How do you set up

Your iPAd should see your wireless network like other devices do. Does your iPad not prompt you to connect to your home network? If it does you should enter your wireless pass key manually on your iPad.

My belkin wireless light is not on i can only get internet on my desktop but not on my ipad how do I fix this

If the wireless light is not turned in the router itself, then there might be some settings inside the router itself where the wireless is inactive, switch it on. If ur unable to do so, call up the belkin guys to check the settings. But remember before you reset the router remember the ISP settings, if you reset the router u have to reconfigure it again.

Wireless not working

To reset the Belkin back to the default settings -
Press and hold the pinhole RESET button at the back of the router and then power for at least 15 secs. Then release the RESET button.
Connect a LAN cable from Belkin to your laptop/computer's LAN port, open a browser on your laptop/computer and enter the Belkin's configuration URL. http://192.168.2.1
The default PW = blank (just press Enter) You can now change the default admin password.
You can now configure the wireless settings. Now configure the wireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings. Ive connected my belkin device to may desktop. Now im trying to connect my ipad to my modem or the belkin..but getting no where lol Ipad finds the modem but say 'unable to join the network'. Any ideas...

which belkin device have you connected to your desktop? The ipad will be looking for a wireless network to connect to. So you will need a wireless router to allow it to connect, also the modems ethernet cable needs to plugged into the wireless router and IF you have the modem connected directly to the pc to allow it to connect to the internet , then you need to connect a lead FROM the router to the PC
