If you provided the proper information to the repair center and they sent it to the wrong place, they are responsible for it. Also did you send any information to the address that it went to in order to see if they got it?

Broken screen

There is no replacement screen commercially available.

Recomend returning the unit to Best Buy for a different unit if you purchased the protection plan.

My acer 5620 is just i year old and my keyboard melted and i feel they should replace my laptop . what is a person to do

If you purchased the total notebook protection warranty with your notebook (and registered your extended warranty) any Acer repair depot should be able to send it to Acer for repair or replacement.

Unfortunately the standard one year warranty does not cover keyboards, or lcd screens.

Acer aspire one zg5 - lcd monitor problem

The lcd is going to need to be replaced, its a problem inside of the lcd with the cells cause they went bad. Does my protection plan cover a damaged LCD screen on my laptop?

It depends on the warranty you purchased. Most basic warranties do not cover accidental damage, such as the damage your laptop sustained. Your best bet is to contact Gateway directly - they will be able to determine your warranty coverage. (Or if you purchased through a store like Best Buy, take it to them.) If you do not have ADP, you would have to pay for the repairs out of pocket.

Protection Plan

Greetings 4webbs,

You can do either of the following:;

1) Ask at your local store, then can sometimes look up your previous histories to see if you did indeed purchase a protection plan.

2) Call 1888BestBuy and ask for Consumer Relations. They should be able to check your purchase history also to see if you have a protection plan.
