does the drive work in other systems.
what is the error is it windows error driver
or is it a error from the drive .
many drives are fake , manyyyyy drives
it will have a brand name on it an might be real. if no name its bogus.

If your laptop will detect any other USB drives ....if other usb device detects make sure ur pen drive is affected with virus or pen drive detecting problem
Installed the Card Reader Driver first,Put your SD momory Card in the adapter and insert in the card reader slot. Browse now as if you brwose when you insert pen drive.
Otherwise,Get a USB Memory Card Reader Pen Drive.No need to installed driver or adapter.
ok after you start it up hold F8 and the boot menu should come up if you pick the dvd drive and it still goes to the acer screen you dont have a bootable copy of XP try making a bootable pen drive (google it it is pretty easy) and after you boot to the pen drive just switch to the dvd drive and install win xp
Do you get a sound from the computer when inserting your pen drive ? like a device was recognized? Goto into Device manager does it show normally without any exclamation marks? If not delete the device and Re-scan for new devices - if prompted reload drivers and re-install the device.
