You need to change your connectivity settings. From your home screen, press the icon at the bottom middle that looks like 16 white boxes in a square. From the apps menu, flip to the right (by flicking your finger to the left) until you can see the Settings icon (looks like a gray gear or cog. Press the settings icon. At settings, press "Connectivity". Look for a blue check in one of these boxes. I'm guessing that "Charge Only" is checked. Just check the top box, "Media device(MTP)" and you should be all set. Best of luck!

Archos won't connect by USB to computers

You should keep your eye on the device after its been plugged to the PC it will give you 2 options "charge" or "usb" you ca not establish a connection without picking usb connection option on the Archos screen when it pops up. If you are doing so and problem still existed then i would recommend you to download the latest windows media player. Because it comes with new devices sync driver update.

I downloaded a Sansa video converter and it keeps saying that my Sansa is not connected after i connect it. Can i have some assistance please?

do u have windows or mac system? if mac,
Although MAC OS is NOT a supported operating system, the Sansa player can still be recognized if the Sansa player is only plugged in MSC mode.

MAC computers do NOT support MTP
A Sansa player in MTP mode when plugged into a MAC computer will NOT be detected or recognized.

MAC computers supports Sansa players in MSC mode
Sansa players can only be recognized by a MAC if the USB mode on the Sansa player is set to Auto Detect or MSC.
See answer ID 207 for instructions on how to put your Sansa player in MSC mode.

See answer ID 1141 for instructions on transferring music to your Sansa player using iTunes on a MAC computer.

MY SANSA ISNT RECOGNIZED BY MY PC!

Try connecting it to another computer and see if it will recognize it as sansa or removable drive. if it does then download the sansa update software and install it. Make sure you disconnect the sansa and connect it when asked. This will update your sansa and add the Usb Mode. Try to connect it to your computer at home it should recognize.... link for update software (http://mp3support.sandisk.com/sansa/Installer/1082/SansaUpdaterInstall.exe) download to a flash drive much easier Make sure USB mode is MSC I use my computer to drag and drop my music from my music folder to the sansa media folder.... Open my computer click on folder what ever folder has your music in it and drag to media folder and drop (click on the (+)where it say's sansa )

Ok when you hook it up and it says MTP just push and hold the Play pause key till it says Usb then it should recognize it .....
now mine recognizes it on both usb and mtp i have win xp pro ...  If you do this and it doesnt work
If you are using Windows XP or Vista, make sure that the player is in the Media Transfer Protocol (MTP) mode. This can be done by pressing the M button. This button is located on the top of your mp3 player. Open Windows Media Player 10 or 11 and follow the directions for transferring (synchronizing) music. If you have Windows Media Player 9 on your XP machine, upgrade to Windows Media Player 10 or 11. This can be done by visiting www.windowsmediaplayer.com.
If you are using Windows 98SE, Windows ME, or Windows 2000, you will only be able to transfer music using the USB transfer mode. Open Windows Media Player 9, and follow the directions for transferring (synchronizing) music.
If you have version 9 on Windows 98SE or Windows ME, you will need to visit the Download Center for updated drivers.

Sansa 4Gb Wont let me add or delete songs anymore!

If the PC does not recognize the player, try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

Vision M not recognized

I'm having the exact same problem. My zen is 'charging' but isn't detected anywhere on my pc and I'd leave it charging for days but nothing happens. I've tried different usb ports, reinstalling the software several times but nothing. I recently reinstalled Windows and with my new pc my Zen cannot work on it for some reason?! I put previous files from my old pc onto my Zen hoping that I could transfer them onto my new Windows pc but I fear I've lost the data on my Zen completely. Arggh, any suggestions guys? Please..x
