have you checked the timing belt on the engine? i had a similar issue with my ford escort wagon. it is definitely something that needs to be ruled out. what have you checked already?
When was the last time the timing belt replaced. What happens is the camshaft starts retarding itself and the valves are opening and closing at the wrong time in which can very well cause misfiring and definitely loss of power. It has been replaced, take a look at your plugs/wires. Check the condition of the air filter, it may be getting plugged up and air can't get into the engine causing the engine to load up and low rpm.
Starter motor relay!
- not sure which one it is -
definitely sounds like starter relay tho.
if you disconnect the main wire from the starter and turn the key you will kear the relay clicking, find it and replace it...
should solve your problem.
The only sensible thing to do is to purchase a factory workshop manual for this vehicle which will cover the procedures and steps you need to follow. Do not attempt this job without the manual and definitely don't try it unless you have experience and competence working on vehicles.
If you then find the work too daunting you will need to entrust it to a competent mechanic.
This is prashant from india. well i am mostly into cars especially ford escort. the problem that you have seems to be with the heater coil, if the compressor and blower is working fine then definitely its the problem with the heating coil. Might be wiring issue or the coil might have gone bad. so you may need to replace.
Your starter is probably fine. Check your neutral safety switch. this switch can definitely make your car very hard to get started if it's not working properly.
