Every time I use the new dryer there is a large puddle of eater on the floor and it takes too long to dry the load.
SOURCE: My hotpoint vtd00 dryer seems to have stopped drying
Have you cleaned the exhaust ducting? The duct that runs from inside to outside. Try that first. Sounds like your exhaust line is blocked. Also with the filter out get a flash light and look down the venting if alot of lint vaccum out. NOTE: Unplug the unit, wheather gas or electric.....and if it is a gas shut off the gas to the dryer before moving just in case something gets loose while moving. Hope this helps.
SOURCE: heats take long to dry and timer won't move
The timer not moving means that the timer has gone bad. The heating problem may have to do with the timer too. You can take off the vent tube of the dryer and make sure it is not restricted (from dryer to outside) If this is plugged it will also take longer to dry your clothes.
SOURCE: Squeak when running the dryer
It's the roller axles and/or the motor shaft. Remove the front of the dryer and lubricate same.

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail
(meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that
might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip
out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave
programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode
showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the
fault.
