SOURCE: My hotpoint vtd00 dryer seems to have stopped drying

Have you cleaned the exhaust ducting? The duct that runs from inside to outside. Try that first. Sounds like your exhaust line is blocked. Also with the filter out get a flash light and look down the venting if alot of lint vaccum out. NOTE: Unplug the unit, wheather gas or electric.....and if it is a gas shut off the gas to the dryer before moving just in case something gets loose while moving. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: heats take long to dry and timer won't move

The timer not moving means that the timer has gone bad. The heating problem may have to do with the timer too. You can take off the vent tube of the dryer and make sure it is not restricted (from dryer to outside) If this is plugged it will also take longer to dry your clothes.

SOURCE: Squeak when running the dryer

It's the roller axles and/or the motor shaft. Remove the front of the dryer and lubricate same.

Common faults -
1 The heating elements can fail (meaning open circuit)
2 There are cut-outs (T.O.C's) that might need resetting
3 The thermostats (stats) can trip out or burn out (meaning opencircuit)
4 Moderntumble dryers also have sensors and pcb's (Printed circuitboards) thesehave programs that can fail and circuitry although most should produce an errorcode showing you were the fault is.
5 Faultyconnections and burned wires may also be the fault.

Why is my hotpoint tcm570 tumble dryer leaving a puddle on the floor

Since no dryer I am aware of uses any liquid, I suggest you may be putting wet clothes into the dryer.
This can happen if the washer does not spin the clothes nearly dry. Many dryers have small holes in the dryer drum to let excess water flow out, I would guess that may be the case with yours.
Are your clothes nearly dry when they come out of the washer?
If not, perhaps the washer has a loose belt or has a problem with the "dry" cycle.
God bless your efforts.

How can i fix my hotpoint wt940 with F-01

Hi Hayley,

Please help us help you. Expand on what is working and what is not. SO please add to your comments and repost.

First things first. Water is always a hazard with electricity. Please turn of the power source to your machine and do a fine cleanup, Take canister vacuum and get the hard reach places. A large box fan will help dry the machine and the floor. Pull the machine away from the wall. If possible lift the top off the machine to allow air flow and a panel cover for examination. a hair dryer can be used to dry electronic components in the event of an overload. Give it a chance.

If the machine restarts and is faulting. Here is a link to diagnose the coding Error Codes Hotpoint Service

Sometimes when using the tumble dryer of my Hotpoint WD420 I get a puddle of water on the floor. Doesn't happen with every use. Do you know what the problem might be?

I suspect your dryer vent is blocked or partially clogged.. Also if your washer is not opperating properly putting wet close in the dryer could also cause this.....hope this helps!

My Hotpoint refrigerator is leaking puddles of water inside my vegtable crisper and on the floor, what can I do ?

Hi,

It is most likely due to a clogged defrost drain. I put together some instructions on cleaning the drain, follow the link below and let me know if it was helpful.

Dryer vent pipe has condensation issues.

With all of that condensation I'd be suprised if your clothes were getting dry at all. A lot of times cleaning the dryer vent is not enough. It sounds like your vent is really long. Long vent lines have a large potential for lint clogging. Check the airflow at the end of the vent at the side of the house. Your'e probably getting very little. For a run like that we always attach a electric leaf blower to the dryer side of the hose and let it run wide open for about 5 minutes. This should help to break up any clogged up lint. You can check your results at the end of the line on the ground. If it doesn't do much you may want to consider replacing the vent hose. Hope this helps.. Thanks

Water leaks out of freezer once or twice per day

is there water frozen on the frezer floor.if yes your defrost drain is froze over.it only happens a few times a day because happening when its going into defrost, the water melts on the frezer evaporater then should go in the drain.if blocked it then runs on floor.you could turn of your refer for 8 hours or so.or get to the bottom of frezer behind back frezer panel[remove]and use a hair dryer to thaw drain use a weed eater line with a knott on an end to push thru and pull out the other side.the knott would clean any stuff in the drain line.ps watch out for water and electricty.i hope this helps God bless, tom

Hotpoint wd420

Check if the hose from the tub to the drain area has come off; refit carefully. This could happen if the tub is unbalanced, happens sometimes.
