My toshiba L875-S7308 screen won't turns on. How to fix it?

I have this laptop for two years. Last time using it, I just closed it, so when I tried to use it again, the screen didn't turn it on. It remains black since then. How can I fix it?

I think that the pop you heard was an electrolytic capacitor blowing its top on the picture frame board. If you are able to check this for yourself by looking on the board for the one/s with a bulging top or are a brownish/black colour like something has caught fire. And also in this situation smell can be of great help as it will smell burnt out but PLEASE before putting your nose or anything else in the tv take all necessary precautions against electric shock and discharge any electrolytic capacitors in the vicinity. If you are not able to do this yourself find a competant technician. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Screen remaining black after the TV is turned on

Some newer sets appear that way when there is NO signal to the set. That and my Sony looks like that when the bulb is burned out.

SOURCE: screen stays black on startup of toshiba satellite L300

have you tried either switching between external and internal monitor usally Fn + F5 on toshiba or try plugging a monitor into the back and see if it displays.
if you get a display on the external monitor then its probably a screen or inverter fault if you donot get a display to an external screen then it is likley t be the graphics on the board itself.
hope this helps

How to reset the bios password

In some cases its removing the CMOS battery inside the laptop and powering on with no main battery and no charger connected. Before putting it back together. The CMOS will not only loose the password, but it will also loose its settings including the time and date.

If you can load the laptop otherwise, Toshiba used to offer a windows tool for changing some CMOS options including unconditionally changing the password.

How to use webcam on satellite L875?

Usually, the built in web cameras are shown on the display and what you need to do is just pres the button to activate it. It must be on the side of your screen . If you can't find it that means that you have to contact the customer service of the manufacturer. Before you do that try to check the driver. You have the same problem as I do but I still have no web cam and sound even though my laptop is just a 2 years old. Good luck.

  1. Turn your computer on.
  2. Start pressing F8 on your keyboard about every second as soon as you turn the computer on until you see the screen shown below.03b7e06.png

1:Select "last known good configuration " using the arrow keys.
your laptop will be restored to the time it was working properly

still your problem is not solved then
2:instead of selecting " last known good configuration " now you select safe mode from here you safely turn Off the laptop.

3:if the above solution did not solve your problem do System restore

Toshiba laptop screen

Can you see the toshiba loading screen when you first turn on the system? If yes, then load in safe mode and uninstall the driver and reload the video driver from toshiba's web site.

If you cant see video at all. (try) reseating the video cable to the motherboard, some laptops have a nasty tendency of having that cable come loose after beign opened and closed for awhile.
