SOURCE: Magic Chef MCBR415S cabinet get's very HOT!

* Is your compressor motor running all the time ?
* have you checked and cleaned your condenser coils at the back ?
* Is there sufficient airflow around your refrigerator (especially at the back) ?
* Is your refrigerator and freezer cooling properly ?

Sounds like your unit is working overtime - it will usually get hot like that when compressor motor has been running a long time and heat does not dissipate properly at the back - it also gets hot after a defrost cycle - it should NOT be hot at all times. CHeck to make sure your temps are correct to rule out a stuck defrost cycle timer - your refrigerator should not be hotter than 40F and your freezer's temp between 0F-10F, the optimal temp is 0F.

Magic Chef mcbr415s compressor is hot and its not cooling

Magic Chef mcbr415s compressor is hot and its not cooling

It sounds like your Magic Chef refrigerator is experiencing a cooling issue. The fact that the compressor is running constantly and getting hot suggests that it is working overtime to try and cool the fridge, but it's not able to achieve the desired temperature.

First, check to see if the temperature controls are set correctly. If they are set too high, this can cause the compressor to run constantly. Additionally, make sure the fridge is not overfilled, as this can restrict air flow and prevent proper cooling.

If those checks don't resolve the issue, it's possible that the power outage may have caused damage to the compressor or other components. In this case, you may need to have a professional technician take a look at the fridge to diagnose and repair the problem.

Unfortunately, if you are unable to access the condenser coils, it may be difficult to troubleshoot the issue yourself. You may need to contact a technician for assistance

I have a Magic Chef Refridge MCBR 1010W that has stopped cooling, fan runs and you can hear it kick in but then kicks off? An Ideas?

If the compressor kicks in that tells you the compressor relay and board are probably good. HOWEVER, when you say it kicks off right away that is not a good indication! It sounds like a compressor problem. Is the compressor extremely hot or is the condenser coils icing up? If so, I wouldn't invest the money into repairing it, because it would cost more to repair than to replace.
