I have a 50 inch hitachi ultravision projection screen tv model # 50ux53k anyway the picture was jumping at first for awhile and a few months after that started happening i took off the back and found that if i put pressure on the circuit board it would stop jumping.so i wedged a plastic rod to keep the pressure and it worked fine for a few months and then the picture began to squish to the center (top to bottom) so i then took the back off again to find that the plastic rod fell down so i replaced it and it work for a week or so. then the picture went blank no picture or sound and the power button is on. can someone help.
If the power button is blicking red then most likely ur lamp needs to be replaced. they dont come cheap but its an easy fix ...try ebay for the part ...and make sure u get the correct seze and watt for that specific tv ....on a side note...if u replace the bulb yourself....wear latex gloves and DO NOT touch the bulb. the oils on your skin will magnify the light and can cause that bulb to explode or pop and then u will be right back at squareone
The best thing 2 do is buy a new one and get guarnteed with it again
if u try 2 fix it it not 50% working
if u got guarnteed then take it back (or phone them to come)
