My scooba seems to work fine but no longer makes the beeping noise. Several weeks ago the beep was sounding very strange almost like a battery was dying. Now it's not making any noise at all. Is this the beginning of more problems or can the machine function just fine without the beeps? If not then how can I fix it?

Your speaker went out. It could be totally isolated. You're not going to be able to determine what's wrong with your Scooba if something does happen, though, because without those beep codes, there's no way for the robot to communicate with you.

If you're under warranty, call support at 1-877-855-8593 and let them know your speaker went out.

Scooba beeps 4 times

  • Lift Roomba off the floor and place it in the center of the room and restart the clean cycle.
  • If Roomba did not resume cleaning, lift Roomba and turn it over.* Inspect the Side Wheels for dirt or obstructions.
  • Test the Side Wheels by pushing them in and out and making sure they rotate freely. Place Roomba in the center of the room and restart the clean cycle..

Scooba 5800 starts to charge then beeps loudly

    1) test the batteries very well in another device.
    2) test the charges if working properly.
    3) test the power inside from scuba, some electronic components like diode, or capacitor is draining the batteries. repair or rreplace.
    God bless you

Stopped working a few weeks ago - bought and installed new battery seemed to be working OK - now after about a week, it goes for about 15 minutes then stops...

It may need a longer charging period to bring the battery up to full charge. If you have a voltmeter, measure the battery voltage while it is being charged--it should read several volts above the rated battery voltage. If nearly equal, the charge unit may need repair or replacement. Good luck!

My Scooba floor cleaner "check tank" light stays on even after it's refilled and everything cleaned but still will not work. It just keeps beeping at me when I try to start it. How do I reset it or get...

Flush out the solution valve with water (aka "prime the pump"). Use water, not just air, because water will clear any obstructions that may be in the lines. Also, rinse your tank through the four ports on the *underside*-- one round, two oval, one large and curved, all four in a row. Rinse them really thoroughly with warm water, then refill the tank and try the Scooba again. If it doesn't work, call us: 1-877-855-8593.

    Scooba won't turn on

It sounds like you've got a finicky power button. Not a lot that can be done about that, but you may want to try getting your hands on the old-style Roomba remote, the black one. The power button from that will power on a Scooba, though you can't start a cleaning cycle that way. This might allow you to bypass the Scooba's power button altogether.

I fixed my scooba's check tank problem, now it has the service light on and keeps beeping 4 times

amber it might be a valve stuck get a straw and blow air into the solution valve under tank on right or try droping scooba 2 inches from ground as this might reset the ball valve .

    Scooba in diagnostic mode

This is a common issue :)
his morning, I turned on my Scooba and it started beeping a scale of tones and blinking all its lights in sequence. After an hour or so of resetting, cleaning, disassembling, researching, and scratching my head, I stumbled across the solution on Roomba Review. But, for me at least, it was even easier than all of that. I don't have any of my own pictures for this procedure, but it's pretty straight forward.
    • Remove the battery and power.
    • Remove the two screws holding the bumper shell in place and remove it.
    • Carefully peel up the sticker with the control buttons on it. This sticker is actually the control panel. There is a data cable attached to it just below the "Clean" button. Be careful not to break it!
    • Clean the surface under the sticker with some isopropyl alcohol. (I didn't actually have to do this, but I'm sure it doesn't hurt.)
    • Gently replace the "sticker" (i.e. control panel) and make sure it's completely flat.
    • Check to see if it works again. If not, repeat.
    • Replace the bumper shell and screws....
    thnx.
