It depends on the position of the speed pot and throttle pot. At maximum setting, total battery voltage less 1 volt.

I take it you are talking about increasing the maximum speed beyond the maximum the chair is set for now! the max listed speed for the jet 3 is 4mps, so if your chair is doing that there is only changing a load of hardware to increase speed past that (it is very costly) if your chair is second hand it may be that the chairs programming has been changed to reduce the max speed say for in-door use or for elderly with slow reactions to better control the chair, if that is the case it depends on the controller you have it would need a programmer box, you can buy these on ebay and the like or you could take it to a mobility shop and see if they will change it, a lot of these shops will offer to do it free to try and get your future custom, it only takes a couple of mins, most will just plug in to the charge / data port on the controller, select from the menu and adjust the speed etc. hope that helps.

Any Pride Mobility dealer with a repair shop has a programmer gadget that can adjust the balance between the motors. Find your shop here:

If you can fix it with the gadget, it's cheap. Otherwise, actual repair can be expensive.

hi,when the speed light flashes,is there a pause or is this a continous flash ?regarding missing a connection, that i very much doubt...

Pride scooters are known for this problem, as I found out when it happened to mine.

You need to replace the Throttle Pot. Either take it to a mobility shop and let them do it or buy the part and do it yourself. It simply involves unscrewing the old one and screwing the new one into place, and there are diagrams to help you on the internet.

This throttle pot problem has happened to my Pride scooter three times already.

If you bought the scooter used, it may have been reprogrammed by a dealer for a slow maximum speed and not the pot at all. You need a programmer to access the controller and reset the max speed setting to 100% and clear any user profiles from the former owner. Usually when the pot goes out, it is completely dead, or will only operate at one speed, or will operate off and on.
