SOURCE: Fisher & Paykel GW612 Top Loading Washing

Hi there
That fault is the pump blocked error (no change in water level).
i have a quick and easy way to solve this problem.

first turn the machine off then tilt the machine back and lean it on something(a chair or wall), look underneath, in the top right hand corner of the plastic outer boul you will see a small pump motor it has a fan on it spin this fan and if it is hard to turn that means there is somthing stuck in the drain pump keep turning the fan and try to free whatever is stuck in the pump, then try the machine on spin again all goin well the object in the pump should come out with the drain water(doing this will not harm the machine) if the object is still stuck you will need to get the water out of the machine (bailing or siphioning will work) and tilt the machine back again and take the wires off the pump and there should be a white tab on the boul holding the pump on pull this tab and twist the pump anticlockwise about a quarter turn(you will need a few towels or a boul or bucket to catch the water) and it should come off exposing the blockage.
Hope this solves your Problem.

the drain pump impeller is seized; you just need to turn it a bit and will work just fine afterwards.

Fisher Paykel IWL12 25" Top-Load Intuitive Eco Washer. Repeated bearing failures in Fisher Paykel IWL12 -- Any ideas?

Did he replace Bearings AND Seals. The seals protect the bearings from water damage and rusting. Apply lots of Water Pump Grease even if it is a supposedly sealed bearing. Also make sure they are genuine OEM bearings and not Chinese copies.

This link shows two bearings and a seal. There is good advice at the bottom of the page. Not sure if for your model, but the advice is sound.

FWIW, front load washers are the way to go, except they take up a bit more footprint. They are far more Eco than any top loader.

Hi, you should beable to put a thin knife into the slot on the little door flap at the front on the right side and gently pull the door flap down, then unscrew the plug and the water will drain out, put a larg try underneath to catch the water, best to undo the plug enougth so that when the tray is full you can tighten the plug why you empty the tray, all the best.

my F&P front load dryer would not start - it would hum when I pushed the start button. After trial and error taking the top off, then the front panel with the door I found the lint exhaust was completely blocked.
