If you have no experience in maintenance printer, better you take to service center. Or just extend outlet pipe of head cleaning mech to outside. Just open case. Find diagram at printersiam.com

How do I access the waste ink tank/pads for an Epson Stylus DX8450 printer

The waste ink tank/pads for an Epson Stylus DX8450 printer are located at the bottom of the printer's housing, beneath the print head. Here are the steps to access and replace the waste ink tank/pads:
  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Open the printer cover to access the ink cartridges.
  3. Gently push the print head to the right to move it to the ink cartridge replacement position.
  4. Look for the waste ink tank/pads at the bottom of the printer housing, just beneath the print head. They may be covered by a small plastic panel.
  5. Remove the plastic panel, if present, by gently pulling it toward you.
  6. Use tweezers or gloves to carefully remove the old waste ink tank/pads from the printer.
  7. Replace the old waste ink tank/pads with a new one, making sure they are seated properly.
  8. Replace the plastic panel, if present.
  9. Push the print head back to its original position.
  10. Close the printer cover.
  11. Plug the printer back into the power source and turn it on.
  12. Reset the waste ink counter by following the instructions in your printer manual or by using a reset utility program.
It's important to note that replacing the waste ink tank/pads can be a messy and complicated process, and it may be best to have it done by a qualified technician or Epson service center to avoid damaging your printer or causing a mess.

Ink pad is is ending its life

Here are the general steps you can take to address this issue:
  1. Check the Error Message: Carefully read and note down the exact error message displayed on your printer. This information will help when seeking support or replacement parts.
  2. Contact Epson Support: Reach out to Epson customer support or visit their official website for guidance. They will provide information on how to proceed, whether it's through a recommended service center or other options.
  3. Reset the Ink Pad Counter (If Possible): Some Epson printers allow you to reset the ink pad counter using specific key combinations or software tools. This process temporarily extends the printer's usability until the pad can be replaced. However, it's important to note that the ink pad will eventually need replacement to avoid potential ink leakage or printer damage.
  4. Replace the Ink Pad: If your printer is within warranty or covered by a service agreement, contact Epson to arrange for the ink pad replacement by a qualified technician. If it is out of warranty, you can contact an authorized service center or professional printer repair technician to replace the ink pad

I have a warning that my ink pad is saturated and needs replacing contack dealer for assistance (help)

Ink means pad for waste ink nearly full. Epson program read and count all waste ink from head cleaning and ink charge. Next, you need reset waste ink counter, and replace or washing pad. You can extend outlet pipe to outside of printer, so next time you don't need replace pad again.

Indicates waste ink absorber is almost full on cannon i9900 print

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink full" error.

The waste ink absorption pads cannot be emptied, only replaced.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.
