I think there is problem with your display card.
If you could try testing with another monitor you ll get confirmed. In that case you have to purchase another VGA card and install it then it works fine.

One thing that I have noticed when I change settings on my monitor is that sometimes it needs to be re-aligned. Thankfully this is very easy to do. There is a button on the bottom right of the screen that says "Auto".
Press this button and you should see the screen shift and become sharper.
If this does not work, you may want to change the monitor back to the default settings. You can do this by navigating through the menu: Press the Menu Button -> Select "Setup" from the on-screen menu -> And then separately select "Image Reset" and "Color Reset".

The VGA cable you are using might not be seated correctly. Try removing it and replacing it.
If you have another monitor, can you see if that also goes green when you use it with this computer?
If all monitors go green when used with this computer then your problem is with the computer.
If the problem follows the cable, then the cable is the problem.
If the monitor stays green with a new cable on a new computer then the monitor is the problem.
