SOURCE: not optimum mode recommended mode 1024 x 768 60hz

Hook up a different monitor and set resolution to no higher than 1024 x 768. Samsung monitor will then work fine. It appears that something fails in the monitor and it will no longer support anything higher than this.

SOURCE: screen goes blank then displays Not optimum mode.

Change your screen resolution to 1280x1024 or lower than that.If that too doesn't work log on in safe mode and restore the system to an earlier time.

Samsung SyncMaster S24B300 is not in optimum mode of 1920x1080 60Hz as it should, but in 1360x768 ocasionally is starting up in 1920x1080 but most of the time in lower resolution mode, could FixYa he

Using our onchip Intel graphics we experienced the same problem, where the aspect ratio was displayed wrong using the native resolution of 1920x1080 at 60Hz while black bars show on the left and right side.

The problem was partly solved by using custom timing settings as you can find below:
Front Porch: 90 and 19
Back Porch: 148 and 22
Sync Width: 42 and 4
Active: 1920 and 1080
Scan rate: (auto 67.5) and 60

Then you just have to move the image down a couple of pixels using the buttons on the display.

Not optimum mode recommended mode 1280x1024 60hz syncmaster 712 n pop up occasionly I have to shut down computer

Your video card and computer memory may not be sufficient to run in the recommended "optimum performance mode" that Samsung and Windows both suggest. Please try setting your display setting at a lower resolution such as 1080 x 760 which is still quite excellent. Otherwise you may need to buy a better video card or increase system memory to run the higher mode graphics.
Good Luck!
