Pink photos are usually caused by White Balance being set wrong. You should see in the menu the WB icon. Change the icon to the symbol of the sun. Or.... just reset the camera back to the default settings by going to the camera reset in the menu. If this fails, then your picture sensor is needing to be replaced.
For the manual, go to the following site:

Put the camera (turned on) in normal shooting mode then press the ok/func button (middle of the navigation buttons) at the bottom will appear PROGRAM AUTO push right navigation button so the P illuminates not the AUTO press ok/func. You should now be able to select panorama in the normal shooting mode menu press func/ok then select combine in camera then select ok/func.
Good luck- I fretted over this for two days till finally getting it-and you the manual does not help!!!!!!!!!

SOURCE: after charging the battery i put it in my camersa and it reading batttery empty
This happened to me before and its because i put the battery in the charger the wrong way up. Make sure you put it in so that the side with OLYMPUS in it in big letters is facing up!

Sadly that symptom indicates that the camera is broken.
The device's seal protects both from the condition that you are seeing, but also protects the internal circuits from moisture.
If water has gotten inside the camera, I would pursue returning it and getting a replacement from the company.

I have the same problem. It is said that if you turn on the camera looking at the ceiling and, just in the moment that the lent is out, "sake" nicely the camera to the top the camera turns on properly. IT WORKS.
