If the unit is not running fully, but you have this noise, sounds like the internal fan might be the culprit. Contact your manufacturer for further options.

I plug it up display shows 8.8. and goes blank. Power light on top and side is green ON. Full bucket light and alarm works, timer button works, nothing else works.

Hello Ethan, thanks for your submission!
Based off what you have described your Frigidaire dehumidifier is displaying 8.78 after being plugged in. This could be an internal issue with a sensor or panel. You may need to contact your manufacturer for additional assistance. Good luck! -Matt

Frigidaire FDL50s1 runs continuously but will not collect water. What could be the problem & can it be fixed?

Thank you for your post, K!

I understand that your Frigidaire dehumidifier is continuously running and it is not collecting water. This can be caused by a dirty filter. A dirty filter can restrict air flow which will allow your dehumidifier to not pull in air. I would recommend checking your filter to make sure it is clean.

Frost on the coils within your dehumidifier will also cause your dehumidifier to stop working as well. You should check to make sure that there is not frost visible on your dehumidifier. If you do locate frost you would need to perform a manual defrost on your dehumidifier and you can do that by disconnecting power from it for at least two to three hours.

If these steps do not resolve your issue you may need to reach out to the manufacturer for a proper resolution. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

How do I change the filter? Frigidaire 70 pint. I bought one with no manual from Lowe's.

Here's a link to your missing Owner's Manual. Look under the section Care & Cleaning on how to remove the filter. This manual will prove invaluable to you. So download & print it for future reference.

Frigidaire Fdl50s1 will not collect water when we opened it up we noticed one of the copper c's on the coil is missing. could this be the problem and can it be fixed?

No its supposed to be that way its a coil that could fit something else, a larger unit. If the back coil is cold its working.

Just wondering if this unit has a filter or filters that need to be changed?? (Frigidaire 70)

Yes, your unit has an air filter, that should be removed and cleaned at least once every two weeks, while in operation, The filter is located behind the louvers on the front of the unit. To access and remove it, remove the water bucket and just inside the bucket holder at the top of the opening, you will see a tab type of handle. This handle is part of the filter frame. Pull that down and out and the filter will come with it. Back flush the filter with clear warm water. Dry it thoroughly, before reinstalling it in the unit. Never operate the dehumidifier without the filter installed.

To assist you further, in case you have misplaced your Owner's Manual, I have included a link to the Manual for your model. You can download and print the manual for future reference.
