Can the silver collar turn? If yes then adjust, clean out all the grounds then grind for 3 secs, clean grounds then 10 secs(that will give you about 12-16 grams for a test shot). The 3 secs grind and clean is for the coffee that is already ground with the previous setting, there is still a small amount between the burrs and the chute.

Just bought a mazzer super jolly grinder, used it once, the grind was too coarse (#6), adjusted it to a finer grind ((3), and the next time i ran it it stopped grinding, the motor is on, the grinder turns,...

yes, you have to remove the beans inside because there is beans stuck between the burrs. after removing the beans, start doing the finest first before loading the hopper then after putting the beans test the grind as you go courser.

We have a Mazzer Super Jolly grinder and we can not get the dosing lever to move without pulling very hard while holding the machine with the other hand. Please help.

your doser mech is possibly gunked up with old grinds, first off try stripping it and cleaning it out, if that doesnt work you may need a new return spring but i think its far more likely to just need a good clean. this is from the mazzer mini but the doser design is pretty much the same so it should help you with disassembly

1 check the supply wire to swich change if it is not ok 2 chek the swich change if it is not ok 3 if it is automatic check microswiches(one where ground coffee comes out and other below doser) clean from coffee upper swich and try. it block sometime from ground coffee 4 check the windings of electromotor give grinder for if it is not ok 5 check condensator change if it is not ok 6 try to spin the burrs by hand, check if they are not blocked. change bearings if it is not ok
if you need to change bearings you need advice how to open the motor.

How to change mazzer luigi srl "major" blades

Start by closing the hopper and grinding all the beans through the unit. Remove the hopper and look for any lock screws on the top of the adjustment collar (or ring). Remove the screws if present and turn the adjustment collar clock-wise (coarser) until it comes off. Pull out the upper burr holder. You then need to take out the three screws that hold on each burr (blades) and remove them. Then you want to use a shop vac to clean out all of the grounds. Make sure there is no coffee on the burr holders that could cause the new burrs to not be level. Assemble the new burrs on to the holders. Take a dry towel and clean the threads of the collar and the threads inside the mill. You don't want any coffee grounds on the threads, that could cause the adjustment collar to lock up and may damage the threads which can be extremely expensive. Use a small amount of lithium grease on the threads and reassemble. Screw the adjustment collar all the way down to where the burrs are touching. Then back it up 1.5 numbers (12-14 little bumps on the outer edge of the collar). This is a good "starting point". Pull some shots and adjust as needed.

I have a mazzer luigi coffee grinder on which set is the best coffee you get

grinding setting is one simple operation but requires a bit patience:
1 turn on your grinder and continue setting to fine while burrs are spinning, you stop when you hear metal to metal touch sound(burrs maximally closed finest ginding) 2 from that point go back quarter of revolution and mark the spot where you stopped with marker to body of grinder and setting plate with one line 3 grind little amount of coffee only to fill one sector of dosser than test it at your machine(if it leaks too fast and with yellow color of cream you should go to more fine>><< if it does not leak from the filter holder or it leaks very slow you go to in opposite way. 4 you test grinding few times bit after each reset of plate grind little amount and take that in one other pot (that will provide to have pure new granulation) 5 after setting measure the grinded coffee that come out from doser it should be about 7 grams, better measurement you can get if you measure 10 doses in one place because you don't get never same amount from 6 sectors of doser.
PS: the pump pressure of coffee machine should be from 8 to 10 bar and steam pressure should be from 1.1 to 1.5 bar> depends on type of coffees you use.

Ground coffee does not come out

Try this, unplug grinder, vac out all beans, then turn grinder towards fine until you cannot turn the big nut in the center of the burr chamber with your fingers. Now turn adjuster towards coarse until you can barely move the middle nut(you should hear and feel the burs touching) now if you look around the edges of the adjustment ring you will see notches, pick a spot any spot just remember where you started, then turn 14 notches towards coarse, your grind should be almost perfect.

Grind is like powder

There are 3 springs in the holes around the top neck of the machine, the top part which sits under the collar adjustment knob.

The mazzer mini doesn't grind

Either the burrs are set too fine, or the gate for the bean hopper is closed.

Mazzer luigi super jolly

Easiest way to set the grind on the super jolly is to remove the beans, turn towards fine until you can barely move the middle stem in the grind chamber, then turn towards course about 12-14 notches on the grinding adjuster(not numbers but notches between numbers). If you still cannot get a fine grind and it is not a brand new grinder replace burrs.
