Ooh my this might seem a terrible thing but is actually quite comon to happen on a unit that has a clogged drain tube , you see theres a system (pan) inside that collects water from the condenser coils , and if this pan for what ever reason cant drain the pan backs up and finnaly the water level reaches the fan and yup ^$^ Hits the fan !!!! and out it goes with the air !! this pan is seperate from the bucket that collects the water so your not likely to see it from outside , to resolve it this units needs to be completly cleaned in/out
The dehumidifier has a non-removable tray under the coils (they look like radiators) that collects and drains the water away. If the tray or drain gets clogged with dirt or slime the water doesn't drain away well. Some water is picked up by the fan and is blown out the vent. Take the covers off the machine and give everything a good cleaning. If you get water on any electrical parts, let the machine dry thoroughly before plugging in.
