Control the water inlet filter or hose that there are no waterlock couplers are used or is mounted
on the wrong site on the hose , that it is used as water inlet on the tap.
Standard garden hose has same threads/adapter size.for trouble shooting run garden hose to washer try running cycle. Give it 20 minutes to finish previous cycle as it may not be trying to run what appears on settings. Water won't fill unless cycle that will allow such is chosen and active.
Could be a clog in the system. First, obviously you want to make sure your coolant level is where it should be. If it is, look for a spot on the fire wall where 2 rubber hoses are clamped to pipes going into the passenger compartment. They'd be close to the passenger side of the car about half way down. the pipes those hoses are attached to lead to the heater core under the dash of the car. NOTE WHICH HOSE GOES TO WHICH PIPE. Remove the hoses and clamp them shut. Run water through a garden hose into one of the pipes to try and unblock it. run it till the water comes out clear at the same rate its coming out of the hose. After that, switch the garden hose to the OTHER pipe and run the water trough it in reverse to try and jostle anything blockages loose. Re attach the hoses in their CORRECT positions, and get the car up to normal driving temperature. re check your coolant level. Dont worry about any leftover water in the heater core. It won't affect your coolant. If it bugs you though, you can blow into one of the pipes and spray out about 80 percent of the water inside. Just watch out you don't spray yourself in the face with water from the other pipe!! I've done it to myself without thinking before. Hope this helps! Good luck!
Your shaft coupler / motor coupler has likely broke. Not too hard to fix yourself, but you will have to remove the water from the washer first.
Remove the clothes, place them in the bathtub. Roll a garden hose from the washer to outside where drain water won't matter. Tape the garden hose to the drain hose, and lower the drain hose to the floor. Water will flow through the garden hose outside. Turn the washer over, follow directions supplied with new part, and replace the motor coupling. When finished, reorient the washer, remove the garden hose, place drain hose in the drain stand pipe. Run the washer through a couple of full cycles, then rewash the clothing.
Not a solution... seems like it is blocked, mine freeflows at least a little water when you turn on the hose (engin off)... Did it get a big slug of dirt from the hose of fawcett? .... puzzzling....
Kenmore washers use a coupler to attach the motor shaft to the transmission. The coupler is designed to shear off to protect the motor.Often the repair is to replace the coupler (sears part # 285753A, $18.50) If you flip the washer over you can visually verify that the coupler is broken.Disconnect the hoses to the water pump by removing the hose clamp). Then remove the two small screws holding two clips, called retainers that attach the motor to the transmission. the two assemblies will separate at the coupler.
If your model has a condensate (water) reservoir, there should either be a threaded hose fitting located at the bottom of the reservoir that will accept a standard garden hose, once you punch out the plug inside the threaded coupler.
If you do not have a threaded hose coupler on your unit's reservoir, remove the reservoir and look inside the area above it and there should be a small hose fitting that you can attach a standard garden hose to, to allow for constant draining without having to use and empty the condensate reservoir daily, etc.
If you don't have either of these items, you'll need to purchase a new condensate reservoir with a hose drain attachment to allow use of an auxillary drain hose. You'll need to contact Maytag customer service for the correct parts and assistance.

There is a part between the motor and gearcase called a coupler, the clicking happens when it cracks. Easy way is to pull the machine foreward and tilt it back to expose the bottom. Clips hold a pump, has two hoses attached, then a motor, unclip wire harness on left and any other attached, mark these extra wires if it has them. The motor has two clips supported with two 1/4 in hex screws, Now you should see the coupler, a rubber donut and two three pronged plastic flanges attached at gearcase and motor. Use a 1/2 socket to flush the new coupler flanges on both sides and the rest is a experience.
