The door is shut on my front load washer. However, the machine will not run. I get the following message ERR LOC.
Just had same problem. After removing boot/rubber gasket around opening, and replacing door lock assembly it still would not work giving the same ERR LOC message! Another site directed me to press the "Options" and "Select" buttons at the same time. BINGO! My husband was quite proud of me!
Thank you So Much!!! I called Sears repair who said a techician for the same problem. They said they could come out to give me an estimate for $75 or I could purchase a warranty for $219.99 for repairs and parts up to $500 total. I did what you suggested and pushed OP
Thank you So Much!!! I called Sears who would not give me a reason for the LOC symbol. Finally after calling the 3rd time, a technician said it was a door loc issue. They said a technician could come out for an estimate at $75. Also, I could purchase warranty for $219.99 for repair of front loader with parts and labor up to $500. I did as you suggested pushing "OPTIONS" and "SELECT" and It's Working Again Perfectly! What a Relief!

The washer is not broken, that means the control panel is locked,(child safty feature), press the two buttons with the pad lock symbol in for 3 to 5 seconds and that will unlock it!!
This was very helpful!! For my frigidaire front loader you press the Options and Select buttons at the same time to solve a LOC ERR. That is the large options button with the select button at the same time, took about 3 seconds!
After a very frustrating 20 minutes, I finally found this solution and it worked brilliantly! Thanks a million>
