I need to take apart themonitor - Samsung SyncMaster T260HD flat panel TFT 25.5" Monitor

Press FN key (second key at bottom from left corner of KBoard) and hold it down and press F3 (fourth key button from top left of keyboard) to increase brightness and F2 to decress brightness. Should see a picture of a sun with an up or down arrow on the function key.

remove themonitor cable from the cpu and see wether there is no connection mentiond in the screen if you have so then remove the cover of the desktop and remove the ram and clean them and still the cpu is not working then change the ram

if u cant see anything on the monitor then i am afraid your MB is out...

did you activate the monitor port?
Did you check theconnection?
Is themonitor pluged in the wall socket?

Push on on themonitor power cable real hard and see what happens.

I have an OLD LAPTOP that does the same. It is busy packing up. The fact that I only use the laptop occasionally the lines does not matter to me and it has been working like that for almost 2 years now. I can still ee pretty OK on it but wouldnt know how bad your is. But Ya,.... themonitor is retiring

Try reseting your your video card by pulling it out and putting it back. test themonitor to other PC, if it works. if it works from other PC then the VGA card might be the problem.

Hey ,, yes it can be fixed, and any eletronic technician can replave the wire or resolder it to repair the problem, if you but friend wishes to try ask him to cut the section of and just resolder the rest or re add a pice and then resolder it.

If U can see the cursor then your monitor is fine, the culprit is your graphics card. It could be a virus, or a driver error. Try installing the drivers and check for viruses, if no help then Your graphic card is the most likely fault

Hi, You may want to try lowering down the screen resolution of your display properties of your PC. If you can't set it properly or the monitor will not allow you to do so, try restarting in safe mode (press F8 when booting). Pls post again how things work up so we will know if this did the trick or we have to come up with something else. Good luck and kind regards.
