Assuming it's not your device causing the grey lines, just change your aspect ratio settings. Each input has a different set of settings that you can change, so don't worry about messing up the settings on your HMDI 1 input for example if you change your AV1.

Try to replace the Logic Scan board on the upper left side of your tv. The part no. is printed on the board and you can order it from Panasonic's Website. Also check the Service Manual for the part description and part no.

What is your TV brand? For the plasma, if the black bar appears all the times and on all sources, the problem might come from the so-called address bar inside the TV. Try to play DVD to see if the bar is still there. If it is, you need technician to check and find the problem.

If you have cable or satellite and a cable box or satellite box it is probably its remote. Look for the hd zoom # button or format button or aspect button to change the picture size.

Someone may have also changed the input on the television. Your cable or satellite box might be connected to two different inputs on your television so you have to make sure the right television input has been chosen with the television remote.

There should be a zoom, view mode, aspect or etc button or setting on your television that adjusts picture size.

Some television programs just broadcast like that and there is nothing you can do while that particular program is on to increase the picture size.

There is a problem with your t-con board it is the one that transfer image and get the signal from the logic board if this is faulty or not receiving signal to logic board it will produce gray and white screen try to check the 5volts dc supply and the 12volts supply if you are familiar with the electronic components and have proper equipment you can do it by your self but if not you can contact a technician to do it for you and save you from stress because this problem must be done in actual testing of the unit to check the real source of the trouble. Good day and best regards.

Grey screen

Take it in for support at your nearest Toshiba Repair center. If it was a desktop you might've been able to service it, but since it's a laptop, you're better off not messing with it.
