Symbol barcode scanners by default do not add a return after a scan. You need to program the scanner to add a suffix.

unfortunatley if your device is preconfigured for 1d only you will not beable to scan or decode 2d barcodes. Which configuration of the mc55 do you currently have? if you can provide me with this information i can let you know if it is possible or not.
the scanner comes with a programming card, just scan the barcode to start programming, then scan the barcode that says usb and then scan the barcode that says end programming, and it will start working again
Print Adobe pages 128 and 129 of 302 of the M2000 Series Product Reference Guide and scan the "Scan Options" "Data Suffix" and "Enter" barcodes. The scanner will give two beeps after the first barcode, two beeps after the second and a warble after the third programming (Enter) barcode.
