If you've powered on and off the device multiple times and it still won't retract it's likely the delicate mechanism that retracts the lens was damage. Generally that is not repairable...

Hi, Unfortunately that isn't repairable. The most likely reason as to why the lens won't retract is because the water fried its circuit board and that is a costly repair.
my cam z sony DSC HX1..the problem z when i zoom in(max) the objct i m zoomin doesnt get focusd....when i shoot it the pic z totally blurrd....no matter how mch i try 2 focus with the manual focus option the outcum z da same....
Its problem of that loading flap (technical name is control switch block) and requires replacement. control switch block is included play-stop-rew-ff-eject etc switches including zoom-wide switch.
The Zoom ring maybe stuck on something, or not aligned properly
Try sending it to PhotoTech Repair Service in NYC. They are Nikon authorized, and can do the repair under warranty if you still have it. Also if you join they're facebook page, they will give you a 10% discount.
