The easiest way to connect this is to find the cable going from the receiver to the TV and disconnect it from the TV. Connect this cable to the back of the DVD player where it says "in" or "input". Next take another cable and connect it from the DVD player output to the TV.
I've done this before, i had to buy double female R.C.A. connectors (3) of them sold individually if I remember correctly, and then proceed to connect the 3 "male" ends from the PS2 cables to the 3 double "female" connectors i bought (best buy, meijer, radio shack, etc.) and then connect the 3 "male" ends of the R.C.A. cables that came supplied with my portable DVD player to the other end of the 3 "female" connectors, and finally connected the other end of the (DVD supplied) cable into the portable DVD player. hope this helps, and i apologize if it sounds a bit confusing, just trying to be as thorough (i have no idea if i spelled that right) as possible. Keep me posted if this helps!
Hi,
You should be able to connect the portable DVD player to the TV using an audio/video (AV) cable. The type of A/V cable you need depends on the receptacles on the DVD and the TV. Some older units have only one jack for audio and one for video. Newer units have one jack for video and two for audio. Matching the color coding of the cable, plug one end into the A/V out jacks on the DVD player and the other end into the A/V in jacks on the TV. I hope this solves your problem.
You have to buy the $15 video cable from GPX. I tried several differant cables including RCA to S Video as a last resort. They say theirs is propritary and I now believe it!!!
Do you have both video and audio cables connected? Yellow or S-Video cables are only for video, you also need to connect the red and white RCA connectors on player and TV for stereo sound. If you have already done this, check the player's menu to see if there is a setting for external or auxiliary audio.
As a replacement for "Dolby Digital DT3 AV cable" can be used a " 3.5mm (mono) to RCA(or coaxal)" Cable. Just make sure that DVD Player set for "SPDIF/RAW" or "SPDIF/PCM" output
