Good Morning Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire oven will not turn off. I also see that when you turn it off, the blower and heating element, stay on. The blower will stay on to help cool down the oven, but the heating element should turn off. I see that you have to turn your oven off at the circuit breaker. I suggest contacting your local authorized dealer for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine why your oven will not turn off. Hope this is helpful.

SOURCE: electric oven too hot

difficult to see what you have done here! can you come back with some info: do you have an earth trip fitted in your consumer unit? how many wires are fitted to the element? did you touch any other wiring except those connected to the element?

SOURCE: jenn air oven won't turn off

Maybe, if you have a mechanical type of thermostat. Could also be the circuit board. Wonder why you blew the breaker in the first place. If the unit is digital, the thermostat is really a sensor, a relay and assorted electronics. The relay and electronics are on a circuit board. That's what you're going to be buying.

SOURCE: Frigidaire GM deluxe electri dean (electric oven wall unit)

if you feel through the insulation you can find the two wires that attach to the element pull them through to plug the element back on but there is no plug per say but first are you sure the element is good were there no wires on the element when you removed it should have been two spade connectors with wires on them attached to the element hold my rating till you reply

SOURCE: KitchenAid KERA807PSS01 oven won't shut off until breaker thrown

assuming its a stainless stell oven? if so heres the par tyou need its a membrane switch( your cancel button ceased to operate corrrect???not a bad part to install you need to remove a few screws from under control panel itself( perhaps a few on the sides, the front control will lift off and this part is installed from behind the control panel (SHUT THE BREAKER(S))

part number 9756595ES

in the mean time instead of shuttin off the breaker toreset you can simply( requires reading manual ) set your oven to time bake. it will shut off automatically after predetermined time has been obtained.

SOURCE: Thermador SC301T heating elements not working (top

Its the thermal safety switch. When it trips - it cuts any power from reaching BOTH elements. Open the oven door - at the top wehere the oven latch is - remove the long black panel. In the middle - on the right is a small cylindrical switch...push down on the top - in the very center...it will rest the switch (like a circuit breaker) and then reassemble. Just did it on mine (2nd time) and it fired right up. Good luck

Whirlpool built in electric oven

The upper element is for broiling and should not come on until you tell it broil. If it is coming on as soon as you turn on the breaker then it sounds like the printed circuit control board is bad. There is a relay on the board that engages when you program in the broiler. The relay can be hard to find and may not be removable. My broiler would come on when I programmed in the bake mode, go into runaway heat, put up a F10 code, and shut off. I could not clear it until I programmed in the clean mode for 2 hours. Now it works great.

Will the oven work without the broiler attached

You could use the oven without the broiler. It is customary that the oven will use the broil element to even out the heat in the oven for better baking but you could use if. it just may not bake evenly. There could be two things that is causing the broil element to stay energized. the control is not shutting down or there is a short to ground in the broil element. Have the broil element tested, it could just need replacing. If it is in the control that is a bigger problem.

When i finished baking, the heating element in my oven would not shut off. The control to the oven said it was off and it was still putting out heat. When I shut off the breakers, and turned them back on....

hello, the only thing i can think of is the relay on the control is stuck closed so it continues to energize the element. the control board would have to be replaced.

Oven elements do not heat?

The oven bake element has burnt out and needs replacing. Shut the power off to the range. Remove the element mounting screws located inside the oven above or below each end of the element. Carefully slide the element out, disconnect electrical wiring. Install new element.

My oven stays on, only way to shut off it to shut breaker

Do you mean it continues to heat, or the indicator "says" it's on ? These wall ovens have notorious problems with the erc (clock/timer) could be a relay stuck in the closed position. trip the breaker, pull out the erc and visually inspect it, or if you're really inclined check to see if the relay "cycles" (clicking on & off/open & closed) through out operating.
