The best way to clear the drain line is by using a shop vac and sucking out the blockage and the water. This will make sure all the goop in there comes out. Let me know if you need anything else.

Can you help direct me to what the drain line looks like and how to disconnect it to try to blow it out? I also have a Fujitsu split - AST12 series. I even have the operating manual (it's easily found online) but I can find any reference to the drain line and how to blow it out. Thank you for any help you can give!!

Have a Fujitsu Halcyon mini split AC unit leaking on inside.

I have the same unit. The drain line will be outside and is linked to the condensate drain on the outside refrigeration unit. It will be a black plastic or clear polythene tube a half inch in diameter. The bottom is probably blocked. A tech may be able to do it from the inside by blowing compressed Nitrogen gas down the drain. The case obviously has to come off which should be a quick job just 7 screws according to the video help.

Water leaks from the unit on humid days. It is an LG split unit.

If this is a central AC, the
condensation drips off the cooling coils into a pan. From the pan, it is suppose to either go into a drain directly or into a sump, which in turn pumps it into a drain. Dirt or mold frequently plug the drain out of the pan or the drain line itself. You need to clear the drain with a wire or forced air. If there is a trap in the drain line, it may be plugged. If there is a trap and the line is not draining from the trap into a sewer, then I suggest you remove the trap, which is intended to block sewer gas from coming up the drain line. If it doesn't drain into a sewer, there is no sewer gas to block and the trap is unnecessary. The credulous building code requires the trap, regardless of whether or not the unit drains into a sewer.

Fujitsu split type air conditioner model ASU9RD. Leaks water form the vent. May be a clogged drain? How do you fix?

Typically if you go outside directly behind the inside unit you will probably see a white colored tube, this is the drain and if you have a wet/dry vacuum you can clear it with that. The actual drain can vary but it makes sense to exit and drain asap.

MY AIR CONDITONER HAS JUST STARTED LEAKING WATER,SPLIT SYSTEM DOGS HAVE CHEWED FOAM AWAY FROM COOPER PIPES ON THE OUTSIDE UNIT

if the water is coming from the cooling coil on the furnace or blower package, that means the drain line is plugged. put a wet vacuum on the end of the drain line for a few seconds, that should **** out any residual sediment collected in the drain trap or drain line. if your concerned about the water collecting on the line that is missing the insulation, that is only sweat from the humid air contacting the cold pipe (suction line)and doesn't pose any problem as long as the exposed line is outside. it would be a good idea to reinsulate the line to prevent the sweat and the refrigerant temp from getting too warm . the low gas temp in the suction line is what keeps the compressor motor windings cool and prevents it from overheating and burning up. Don't let the dogs **** on the condenser (outdoor unit) the urine will corrode the fins and you'll start loosing capacity due to higher discharge pressures.
