Have you tried uninstalling the graphics driver entirely and then rebooting? Could be a corrupted driver.

What is the source for the signal to the monitor? First, if the source is a computer, was the computer previously connected to a CRT monitor? If this was the case, you may have the wrong refresh rate as well as the wrong resolution being sent to the video port. Reconnect the computer to the old monitor (if possible) and reset the refresh rate to 60 Hz.

Next connect the monitor to the computer with both devices off. Then turn on the monitor and set it to the correct input (if needed). Then turn on the computer. Most versions of Windows should determine the best resolution for the monitor. (Some Unix versions and recent versions of the Mac OS will also automatically find the correct resolution.) If you are still getting the out of range message, you need to change the video resolution with a different monitor connected and then retry. Always turn on the monitor first.

For additional support, please add a comment with the specific monitor and source that you have. In a few cases, the video card/on-board video may not be able to output the correct resolution or lose the correct setting when the monitor or computer "sleep".

(I've seen most "out of range" messages with several TVs that were connected to computers and turned on and set to the computer input after the computer booted up.)

You ar e getting out of range message because the video signal resolution is too high for the monitor to display, you need to set it to the native resolution of the monitor.

you are using new linux, and it does not use that old old CRT
weak as a cat resolution,
you can use and older linux, or newer monitor
or change the resolution

walmart sells a $45 LCD , use that? and avoid darkages resolutions.

or there is hot key at boot, read the manual on ubuntu
and change to lowest poor resolution
then run setups with a working desktop.

well it is maybe the video cards fault. But you could try installing windows xp or newer or older video drivers

you need to match the resolution on the old screen on the old computer on the new screen

I got the message "Line 25: Library not registered" after uninstalling QuickBooks Pro 2009 and trying to run my old version of QB Pro 2006.

(I had installed 2009 version to upgrade my QB2006 Pro version but got into problems with multicurrency support not being supported in the Canadian QB Pro 2009.)

Fix is VERY easy and I think it applies to anyone trying to run an older version of QB Pro after uninstalling a newer version.

Fix is to find the file "reboot.bat" located in the program files associated with the older QB version.
In my case it was found in "C:/Program Files\Intuit\QuickBooks Pro" folder.
Just double click on the file to run it. This file tells the system where parts of the QB program are located including the DLL libraries it needs. After running this file you should be able to run your old QB version OK. No rebooting necessary.

The max resolution supported by that LCD HDTV is 1366 x 768. If your screen resolution in XP is set higher than that, you'll run into issues. Reduce your screen resolution first, then run the nVidia multiple display setup.

input signal out of range would normally indicate the the screen resoloution is either too high or too low for the monitor to display properly.

is this on just one game? which version of windows do you use?
