Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand that your Electrolux washer, model# EWFLW65HIW, has water left in the soap dispenser. This is typical for your particular model. The soap and fabric softener area are set up on what is called a siphoning system. This means that when it is time for the soap to release it will release and run water through the area. If the mechanism closes before the water is done running through, you can have water left in the soap dispenser. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

SOURCE: wet clothes, water in soap dispenser

Next check your drain, where the hose goes in behind, snake this out. And dont shove the hose in too deep, into the standpipe that is.

If this helps, rate me please.

SOURCE: soap dispenser not working

It sounds like the water valve has a clogged filter.  Shut the cold water to the washer off, disconnect the hose and remove the filter screen in the washer water valve.  Clean out the filter with toothbrush.  Reinstall and everything should be ok.

SOURCE: water comes out of soap dispenser

http://www.applianceaid.com/neptune.html click this link and click the required option in the link Your washer can develop several types of leaks. You can track down a leak based on when it occurs:

During fill only
During drain and spin only
All the time
During fill only If the washer leaks only during the fill cycle, check these:

  • Air-gap device -The air gap is a small device found on most washers that prevents the wash water from being siphoned into the household water supply. It's located either mid-way along or at the end of the black rubber hose that comes from the water-inlet valve. Often it's made of translucent plastic. If one of the air-gap components deforms or cracks, you may need to replace it.

  • The tube -There's a rubber tube that runs between the water-inlet valve and either the air-gap or the inlet spout. If it cracks or breaks, it can cause a leak.

  • Inlet spout -Most washers have a plastic spout near the top of the main clothes tub that directs the water into the tub. If the spout cracks or breaks free of its mounting, it can cause a leak.

During drain and spin only A washer that leaks only during the spin cycle often has a leak in the main drain hose. Inspect the entire hose and correct any problem you find. Alternatively, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. This may be most visible during large loads and high water levels. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

All the time If the washer leaks all the time, check these:

  • Hot and cold water fill hoses - Check the hot and cold water hoses from the household plumbing. If either hose is leaking, tighten it or replace it, as appropriate.

  • Main tub seal - The main tub seal is located between the transmission and the outer tub. It's the primary water seal in the outer tub for the transmission-shaft entry point. If this seal leaks, you can see the leak by opening up the machine's main access panel while the machine is full of water with a small amount of detergent in it. The leak appears at the underside of the outer tub, at or near the center. This seal is difficult to replace. You probably should call a qualified appliance repair technician.

  • Pump - If the pump leaks, you can probably spot the leak when the tub is full of water. The pump has two or more black rubber or plastic hoses attached to it and usually has a drive belt that spins the pump. If the pump is leaking, you need to replace it.

  • Outer tub - Over time, the steel or plastic outer tubs can rust, split, or be punctured. If this happens, you may have to replace the entire outer tub--but that may not be an economical repair to make. Consult a qualified appliance repair technician for further details.

EIFLW55HIWO Electrolux Washer why would water still be in the soap dispenser after washing a load of clothes

I appreciate your post, friend!

Based off the information you have provided you still have water inside of the dispenser of your Electrolux washer. This is a normal operation of your washer. This is due to the siphoning action of your dispenser and washer. You may need to empty the dispenser every once in a while due to the water left inside of it. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt

I removed the soap dispenser from my front load electrolux and now i can't get it back in, help please

Thank you for your inquiry, cheryl!

I understand that you have removed your soap dispenser on your Electrolux washer and are having a challenge getting it back into place. It should go back into place once lined up. If you continue you having an issue I would suggest having a professional technician out to your home for proper install of the dispenser. Good luck. -Matt

Electrolux washing machine will not dispense fabric softener

Hello Dawn, I am happy to assist you!

Based on the symptoms you are describing, it sounds like the siphoning mechanism or water valve is clogged up. Scum will build up in the siphon tube and stop the liquid from going into your washer tub. The incoming water will dilute the softener and overflow the dispenser cup and run into the tub. Try removing the soap dispenser drawer and the insert in the dispenser as well for cleaning. Reinsert the drawer once it is clean and dry.

If the abovementioned tips do not resolve your issue, I would recommend having a service technician to accurately diagnose the problem before investing in unnecessary parts.

Best regards!

The soap isn't coming out of the soap dispenser during the wash cycle. when i open the dishwasher door the dispenser opens with all of its contents still sitting there!

I had the same problem once. Make sure nothing is stacked in front of the soap dispenser when you close the door. Slowly close the door and follow the soap dispenser to make sure it has enough clearance to open.
Let me know how it goes.
