Pulsing
SOURCE: hi,karcher hds hot pressure washer now pressure
what you need to do is, take the screw fitting which goes to the water tank off, then the one that goes from the water tank to the pump head .
then put the one that was in the first place going to the water tank on to the pump and force feed with water.
see if you can see water leaking from any where seals hose.
try running the machine to check the pressure.
if water leaking from pump head you need seals.

This can happen if the head of the pressure pump has split. You may need a new head, and to stop this happening again, tie the rigger open with a zippy tie. The water will run all time now and automatically bleed any air form the system. When you want pressure, turn it on at the main switch. This will prevent hydraulic hammer, (when you pull the rigge)r, which is what causes the head to split.

Is liquid leaking from the base, when the Pressure washer is on ?
I have the same Problem, the leak is from the seam of the Manifold housing. There is a small crack in the seam. A manufacturing defect.. A New Manifold Complete Replacement is $61.03, about the half the price what I paid for this pressure washer at Walmart... :(
If under 1 year old, and you can find a receipt,Karcher will replace the whole Pressure washer under warranty.
SOURCE: My karcher seems to pulse
I do not have specific experience of your machine.
However, the high pressure pump will be controlled by a pressure switch on the high pressure outlet to the pipe and jet.
Pulsing (turning off) suggests that the outlet (high pressure) pipe is blocked or partially blocked.
Try checking the nozzle and (with the unit turned off) clearing it with a fine piece of wire.
Hope this works
