how are your four outside speakers hooked up? If you have four speakers hooked up to only two output channels on the receiver, the receiver is sensing a short and shutting down to avoid damage to the amp.
Are you sure the red and white wires plugged into the audio output on your TV because I had the same problem and learned thats where you plug them into
The problem is with all those little electrolytic capacitors. They look like little cans. There on the middle board. What happens is they dry out just like batteries. I fixed one for like 7 dollars plus shipping from Digikey. If you want you can use an ESR meter to check them, but don't bother. The Circuit board is the middle board. Not the board that has the connector that the ipod plugs into, or the board the speakers plug into, its the one in the middle of the two. Yes you can charge your ipod but it won't play music. Also check all the pins on the connector that the ipod plugs into, sometimes the solder joint breaks and needs to be soldered.
First off, is the unit equiped as ipod ready or are you using an auxillary input. If your unit is ipod ready, this means it has the ipod cable to the unit. If you are using an auxillary input, it won't show the name and yes you will have to control your music from the ipod itself. Just some things to think about. If your unit is malfunctioning, I recommend visiting the local stereo shop.
If your satellite box is connected using a digital cable to the 601 receiver you won't get any sound through zone 2.Zone 2 can process only analogue sound ( inputs ).
Hi, Which is your Mobile Phone? Some phones are having some error while playing songs thru the LoudSpeaker or External Speaker. It'll drain the Battery life quickly. For how much long does the Battery persists while playing music? Is the battery a new one? Isn't the Battery an original one supported by the Mobile Brand Company? If the battery is a duplicate one, then too this issue may happen.

Yes update your software if u want to get rid from this freezing issue. I was also a victim of this so i just update my W660i software now my cell is working 100% OK :)
