The gears will not engage to go forward. The only numbers/identification that we can find on the tiller itself are: TH 1002 and TH 1003-1 B2 We can NOT find a serial number. We have had this tiller for over at least 40 years and Dad has always fixed things himself. He isn't into computer use, so I am elected to do it. He (and I) cannot see the gear key that moves the axels from one to another and we need a manual or exploded view diagram of this stuff. He is patient, but this is getting ridiculous as I cannot find an online manual or anything to help until I found you. I really hope you can help us! The tiller is torn apart and ready to be fixed, but ??? Thank you so much! Deb

The decals r a good indication, they probably didn't have any more made than they needed. The only thing i can think of is, sometimes on the back side of the flywheel, (if u ever have it off) r some stamped numbers. One set of numbers is the month, and one set is the year it was made. Now that's the flywheel, but the engine should be the same year.

This is NOT a solution but the reversing belt is usually installed with a 1/2 twist. If you do not have the 1/2 twist it will not back up. Feel free to seek other experts. Just had to try and get you this information ASAP.

The serial # of the tiller should be stamped directly above the right wheel on the transmission housing. This should give you more info to work from.
