Do you not have your instruction book? It will have the instructions in it. Often there is also a diagram on the front cover flap of the machine. How far away from any sewing machine dealer are you? They should be able to show you how to thread at no cost.Let me kNow how you go.

SOURCE: how do i thread my 434d overlocker i have

I scanned my manual for it, and it can be downloaded for free here.

The gist of it, is that you should do the lower looper first, upper looper, right needle, then left needle. From the front of the machine, this is starting with the rightmost holes on the threadguide plate, and finishing with the leftmost holes on the threadguide plate.

My Janome MyLock 434-434D Serger Sewing Machine Overlocker. Side door wont stay closed. How can I adjust this?

Bonne chance.

My Janome MYlock 434d overlocker's balance wheel will not turn. It was given to me by my mother and has not been used in some time. Is there a locking mechanism that is causing the wheel to not turn

No, it probably means that the old oil has solidified and glued the moving parts together. Your machine needs a thorough cleaning and oiling.

Never heard of such a problem with this brand. Are you threading in the correct order? Are you threading with the tension off, either by turning the tensions to 0 or by raising the presser foot (I don't know which you need to do in this model) ? Are you using the correct needles, and are they fully seated right way around? Can you provide photos of the serging it's doing now?

For what it's worth, I drive a couple of Jukis -- this is the threading pattern for a 3/4 overlock with one of 'em: http://picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/24103653 http://picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/24104540 http://picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/24104556 http://picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/24104568 and photos of stitch formation: http://picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/24107012 http://picturetrail.com/sfx/album/view/24107038

My first bit of advice is to join a general sergers group on the internet, like the yahoo group "sergers":
https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/Sergers/info I think the second bit of advice would be to consider finding a different serger mechanic and/or teacher.

TRYING TO THREAD THE 634d I DON'T HAVE A MANUAL I HAVE ORDERED ONE DO YOU HAVE A DIAGRAM OR ANYTHING THAT WILL HELP ME PLEASE!

I have this serger, also. A friend (who knows sergers) and I spent 2 hours today trying to get the lower looper threaded--with no success! There is a diagram in the door of my machine, but it is still very confusing! I'm taking mine to the shop on Monday and have them thread it and show me how to do it!

Upper looper will not saty trheaded to sew what

You have to thread the needles last.

1 - Take the threads out of both needles.
2 - Thread both loopers according to the diagram on your serger.
3 - Thread the needles.

If this fails, you need to bring it to a pro for service.
