Danby DPAC13009: Light yellow instead of orange for dehumidifier
FIrst of all, remote control doesn't seem to work well.
Second of all, when I put the machine on dehumidifier, the light turns yellow and it barely drains any water.
When we first got it ( 2 weeks ago) we had the issue with the air conditioning starting off blue and turning yellow, but it seemed to fix itself after a couple of days.
Not sure what to do about the dehumidifier....and not sure if we should keep the air conditioner or bring it back...anyone have good experiences with this thing?

try to use the bottons on the a/c unit first if it functioning well,if it is good then the culprit is your remote control needs to repair.some models also are having tiny holes ,some at the back and some are at on front.dont use any metallic materials to switch the miniaturised built in bottons instead use some made of woods and coconut stem and plastic forms stick to resetting the remote
I guess you are having a problem. That model dehumidifier doesn't have a remote control. As a matter of fact, I'm not aware of any model dehumidifier that has a remote control. A remote would be useless. Now, some portable air conditioners have remote controls. Is that what you have? A portable A/C unit? Please advise. Thanks.
Take it to a metal scrap yard and turn it in the copper and buy a new one. Buy a different brand.
Sorry to be so blunt but dehumidifiers are very cheap and disposable not many people work on them. If this help please rate me and do a testimonial.
Are you sure you have a Danby Humidifier and not a Dehumidifier? As Danby doesn't make humidifiers. At least, not in the US and Canada. Please advise. Thanks
Defrosting is a normal function of a dehumidifier. When the evaporator gets too cold and starts to ice, the dehumidifier goes into defrost mode to clear / stop the ice formation. How often is the defrost light coming on and does the dehumidifier seem to be dehumidifying as expected ?
Hi Fred, let me see if I can assist you. If your dehumidifier doesn't seem to run often but the humidity in the room is high, try adjusting the humidistat control on the dehumidifier to a dryer setting. If the dehumidifier seems to run constantly, but there's little or no water in the container, there may be a problem in the refrigeration system. Try cleaning the unit. If that doesn't work, you can't repair the refrigeration system yourself, you need a qualified appliance repair technician to do that.
