SOURCE: I want to remove the 4gpm pump on my pressure washer.

HI, It sounds like it is just stuck on the keyway as these can be very tight. You need to force the pump of evenly on either side and should come of if patient.

Testimonial: "I'm sure the answer is correct. Over time my use of harsh chemicals no doubt corroded the key-way."

if you left it sit for a while & did not turn the fuel tap off,it may have flooded and therefore the oil level would have risen causing the oil to over flow.

always turn the fuel tap off when not using your pressure wahser.

How do i check the oil level on my 1999 yahama v star 650

On the left side of the motor, down from the oil filler cap is a sight glass. With the bike level you should see the oil level and it should be about 1/2 way up the glass. With clean oil it's tough to see, and you may need to have a helper tilt the bike one way or the other to see it.

WHERE IS THE( OIL DIP STICK) ON A 1980 HONDA 500CX

I have an old bike also, no dip-stick, but theres a sight glass on the right side of the engine, down low on the side case, you should put it on the center stand first and add oil slowly until you see the oil in the sight glass, only fill it 1//4 of the way, start bike, run for 30 second- to 1 minute the turn it off and check the level when it cools down again, add more oil slowly as needed but dont fill above halfway in the sight glass.

Royal star xvz1300 '05 model - there are 4 hoses (look like breather hoses) behind engine. After riding the other day I noticed one had leaked a very small patch of oil. Not even sure what these hoses...

This tube comes from the Air Box. If the oil level is to high in the crankcase, the PVC port, which is located in between the "V" of the two cylinders is actually vacuuming the oil right out of the crankcase, and it is collecting in the air box. When enough oil collects in the air box, ti runs down the overflow tube, and drips out behind the rear wheel. To check the oil level, put a 2X4 under the side stand, make sure the bike is level, (a helper to steady the bike is a good idea here) look at the sight glass on the lower right side of the engine, down by the water pump. The oil level should be 1/2 way up the sight glass with the engine cold, and not running. If the oil level is higher than 1/2 way up, drain some of the oil out until you can see the oil level read 1/2 way on the sight glass. These engines only take a little over 3 qts. of oil with a new filter. If you are putting in 4 qts. of oil, it is too much.

I need to know how to do a correct oil level check?

On the right side of you motor, there will be a sight glass.
You will have to crouch very low, and possibly lay on the ground to see it.
The sight glass is in the right side cover towards the back and at the bottom.

If your oil is in need of changing and has turned dark in color(black). The sight glass isn't so visible when the oil is black.

Thats how you check the oil level with the bike off the kicksatnd and you holding it staight up, while looking at the sight glass.

I'm trying to check my oil levels, where is the dip stick, or how do i check the oil levels, if I need to oil any?

The engine oil - there is a sight window on the very lower left hand side of the engine, near the front. Make sure the bike is standing vertically (have someone hold it) and you want the oil level to be in the middle of the sight glass.
