VERY Easy to change!!! We took the back off and on the right side by the fan is where it connects, just like KimSm said.. My husband called the shop and they wanted to charge 100 to come and look at it, 100 to take it with him if needed, 50 a night storage fee, 600-700 to fix it... He went as far to tell my husband there was no way we could fix it ourselves, there was soldering involved,circuit boards involved.. All lies!!! I just happened to stumble across this website and I am glad I did.. Saved a bunch of money. Thanks Everyone!!! Harley_Diva

The CORRECT way to replace the thermal fuse is to pull the optical block out so you can get to the thermal fuse mounting plate. I would NOT suggest just letting it "float out in the open cool air" as some have suggested as this is a safety part and not installing properly could be a safety hazard

check out link below for part. i have 55cs955 and just ordered one. I still do not know where to find in TV but as most post says its somewhere near lamp housing.

The thermal fuse is located close to the front of the set just to the right of center, looking from the rear of the TV. Mounted near the lamp. Part# 191002393. Once you have the new part, it should not be difficult to find it in the set.
