Should connect through setting. Input wifi code or just indicate your connection if at hotspot.

SOURCE: unable to connect my ipod touch to tv

Hi there,

I use both the composite and component cables from Apple with no problems. Go to the ipod settings, under video then tvout. Make sure it is set to your tv standard (NTSC or PAL) and the format (Widescreen or standard).

Also, make sure you are putting the video cable into the correct socket for it on your tv, either composite or component.

All the best
Sean

SOURCE: MY APPLE IPOD TOUCH OF 8G & IT SAYS IPOD IS

If the solution above doesn't work, try restoring your iPod. Firstly, make sure you have the same (or above) version of firmware on your computer somewhere. By doing the next step, you need to know that all data and settings will be erased from your device. If you are OK with this, put your iTouch into DFU mode by:
1. Plugging your device into your computer.
2. Holding down the power button for 3 seconds.
3. Without releasing the power button, hold down the home button for 10 seconds.
4. Release the power button, but keep holding the home button for 30 seconds.

Next, go to the iPod Touch panel in iTunes, and click on the "Restore" button. Now follow the on-screen prompts.

If you want to restore your firmware to a specific firmware (advanced users), shift-click the "Restore" button and select an ISPW firmware file to update it to.

How to Connect my Apple iPod Touch 8 GB to Internet

<p>Apple iPod touch is a touch screen version of its popular iPod device, similar in appearance and function of the iPhone. Like the iPhone, iPod touch is able to access the Internet, although by different means. While the iPhone usually connect to the Internet via a wireless network operator's mobile data, the only way to connect to the Internet in an 8 GB iPod Touch is the device to use built-in wireless adapter. <br /> <p><br /> <p>1. Get references to a wireless network nearby, if you are not home or do not have access to a public network without a password. If you're in a cafe, for example, ask the cashier to use the network password and you should use to connect. <br /> <p><br /> <p>2. Tap your iPod Touch "Settings" icon and "Wi-Fi." If a blue button "off" appears next to the Wi-Fi, tap it on the wireless adapter to connect the device. <br /> <p><br /> <p>3. Scroll through the list of wireless networks will appear, and then tap corresponding to your network. Enter a password - if the network requires - and tap "Connect" to your connection to the Internet iPod touch 8 GB. <br />

Ipod touch - wireless connect to my MSI RG54g2 router

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, to your queries:
  • instruction book - pls click here;
  • passwords - open a browser, the MSI RG54G2 web interface is 192.168.1.254, password is "admin", less the quotes;
  • iPod touch - will auto detect your MSI
  • setting on my router - if allows your computer(s) to access the Internet, no further settings required;
  • iPod can connect to the internet - if no WEP or WPA is set on the MSI router.
This is of course assuming that the MSI RG54G2 is allowing your computers to access the Internet lready and will be shared to the iPod Touch.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.
