SOURCE: oven door does not open and cleaning oven is on

I hope I don't misunderstand...The door is not supposed to open during the cleaning cycle, the temp gets above 900 deg. F. The interlock won't release the latch until the temp sensor says the oven has cooled back down.

My oven door cannot open fully

Hello
If your oven door cannot open fully, it could be due to several reasons:
  1. Obstruction: Check if there is any obstruction preventing the door from opening, such as a kitchen utensil or oven rack.
  2. Hinge problem: If the hinges are bent, damaged, or loose, the door may not be able to open fully. You may need to replace the hinges.
  3. Door gasket: If the door gasket (the rubber seal around the door) is damaged or out of place, it could be preventing the door from opening fully. You may need to replace the gasket.
  4. Control panel: If the control panel is damaged or not working properly, it could be affecting the door's ability to open. You may need to have the control panel repaired or replaced.
  5. Broken springs: If the springs that help balance the door are broken, the door may not be able to open fully. You may need to have the springs repaired or replaced.
If you're not comfortable performing these repairs yourself, it may be best to contact a professional appliance repair service for assistance.

How do I remove oven door

open the oven door all the way and look down at the hinges. there is a little locking clip that you swing into position that locks the hinge from closing. it might be stiff and need some cleaning depending on how old and dirty your oven is. Also you might have to push down on the oven door to make the hinge open fully to get the locking tabs into place. making shore that the locking clips stay in place and hold open the hinge as you lift the oven door slowly towards its closing position and you will see the whole hinge lift up from inside the oven cabinet and the door will just lift out. be careful not to catch your fingers. make sure the looking tabs stay in place during removal as the hinge is very hard to get back into this position again. re fitting is the reversal making sure that you have pushed the base of the door all the way back into the cabinet and push down on the as to open it to release the tabs.

Oven door doesnt close well

I'm not familiar with your oven but most oven doors are very similar in operation. When the door doesn't close well it's generally because the hinges have been stretched/bent when the oven door has been open. To see if this is the case, open the door fully. If it's stretched the door will open past 90 degrees (slope down instead of being horizontal). The easiest way to fix this is to bend it back. Place something as a spacer between the door and the oven on both sides (like a spanner handle or anything strong and about 8mm thick) as close to the hinge as possible. Close the door against it carefully and push the door closed. Do it a little at a time and remove the spacers and try the door each time until you are happy that it closes nicely again. It should be spring loaded closed slightly.

Hi the right hand hinge of the door has popped out whilst I was trying to move the oven using the door handle as leverage. The door is now wonky when closed as the hinged has popped out. Help!

All oven door typically lift off the hinges by design. If you open the door to what is referred as the broil position. You know when the door stops about 4 to 6 inches open at the top. Then do the following.

1. Lift the door up completely off the opposite hinge still in place and remove. Set the door aside carefully as if has glass window, you do not want to break.

2. Then set both hinges at the broiler stop position. If one is all the way in to door fully closed position pull it out with your hand or with pliers till it stops @ broiler position. If all the way down as if door was fully open, lift hinge until it stops at broiler position. CAUTION- THE HINGES ARE SPRING LOADED AND CAN SNAP BACK INTO FULLY CLOSED POSITION. You can use a heavy glove or if you have an oven mitten, that can work to protect your fingers. DO NOT GET YOUR FINGERS BETWEEN HINGE AND OVEN OR CAN PINCH FINGERS.

3. Now carefully lift the door over the hinges set at the broiler position. Careful not to bump them when doing so or can snap closed. If does, reset hinge to broiler position and repeat. Works best to hold door at angle that door is when in broiler position. Once you have them started evenly, you should be able to fully slide down back onto both hinges.

4. If one of the hinges no longer has spring tension you have to reattach the spring. You can usually access spring if needed by removing the bottom drawer.

My stoves 720ef oven goes off if it turned up over 140 deg c also the grill in the top oven does not get red hot

Is the cooling fan running in the oven? Does it also continue to run when the oven controls are turned off to let the oven cool down?
There are ventilation grills below each door on the oven. You can see these when the doors are fully open, just look under each door to see if they are clear and not blocked up.

Trying to remove front doors from Frigidaire Double oven.

Open the door fully and with a small screw driver, look closely at the hinge area on the oven cavity. There you will see a small lever that will rotate down and lock the door in place. Once in the locked position, begin closing door, you will feel the door 'catch' then lift the door off of the oven.
The door can now be disassembled and cleaned.

Smeg Double Oven SD08

this can be hard to do as you should have locked the hinges with the door fully opened before taking it off. the hard part now is (with the door off) you have to push the spring loaded hinges down and lock them with small hook located on each hinge once locked the door will go back on the oven. you then open the door fully and unlock the hinges, good luck
