Why is my tv stuck at one volume level, what can i do?

Hi,
Are you using a remote control or the switches on the TV?

If using a remote;
First turn the TV off at the power point then wait for 10 seconds.
Then turn the TV back on
Then attempt top adjust the volume using the manual settings on the side or bottom of your TV, if that works then you may have a remote that either needs new batteries or does not work.?
Can you turn the TV on and Off with the remote control?
Can you change channels with the remote control?
If you can do both the above it would appear that the remote is working OK.

Does this fix the problem?

• Sansui A-80 amp could be over-driven with C-77 ,

watch for the volume level.


But you can connect it as an alternate room equalizer

if you need to.

Check disc
The DVD player's laser pickup assembly is intermittent and since it is brand new and under warranty take it back for replacement. There should be no issue with your TV set.

Most cable or satelite boxs have their own volume controls try using the boxs remote to change vol levels to see it this solves your problem.

This is called vertical collapse and the most common cause is a failure of the vertical IC. If you can update this with the model number, I should be able to provide the part numbers and costs for the parts required to fix this. Also, if you intend to repair this yourself, please indicate thtat as well. The parts will cost around $20 or so.

Sansui 21in LCD VOLUME is lowering
If you are using a set-top box for Digital reception....check the output volume setting by going to the menu then audio set up section. On standard TV transmisssions the sound is often fine but on Digital....the box sets the feeder audio signal level.

The volume is turning itself down all by itself. The volume on the remote won't work, but the remote is fine with the other TV controls.
It sounds like the button is stuck. Take the remote apart if you can and see if the key is stuck somewhere. This happened to me once with a rubber key type of remote. It drove me crazy.

New Sansui 27" and remote does not work
On later model Sansui tv's, you can bring up the menu by pushing both volume buttons on the front of the set at the same time. After the menu is on the screen, you can navigate using the channel and volume buttons.

Sansui tv/vcr combo is stuck on highest volume.
If you have the remote,have you tried it ?
Have you tried the volume button on the front of the set ?
If neither the remote or the button will work, then you may have a problem with the microprocessor IC (system control). If this is the case, then the set might not be economical to repair.
Perhaps the volume "up" button is stuck ?
