My phone will not go on, also when i connect the charger it does not seem to relate to the phone, It does not seem to show that the phone is charging and on top of the phone where it normally flashes a green light it is flashing a red light. Everytime i try and turn the phone on the red light flashes.
My phone run out of battery so i went to charge it over night. when i returned to the phone (at that point it should have been fully charged) i took the charger out and tried to turn it on and the red light flashed, so i tried pluggin it in to the charger agen and when i do, the red light flashes and i can not get the phone to turn on.
I'v took the battery out of it and placed it in my brothers w580i (same model) and it worked perfect my battery was fully charged and then i tried putting his fully charged battery in my phone and it still didnt go on showing that it is clearly something wrong with the phone and not the battery. I'v also tried plugging it into my computer to see if it would trigger anything but nothing happened just like usual it flashed red.

I have the same problem. Battery was drained and phone switched off. Came home to recharge the phone and connected it to the charger for days but the phone is not turning on. I've held down the red button for over ten seconds but phone does not switch on. Bought a brand new battery but still having the same problem.I have the same problem. I just got my w580i about a month ago and i turned my phone off and it wont turn back on. Everytime i try to turn it on alil red light on the clear botton blinks. i tried debranding my phone yesterday. Once it was done i disconnected it from my computer and tried turning it back on. When it didn't work. I thought that maybe the battery died. So I charged it. when i tried to turn it on it didn't work and a red light came on.

you have mentioned that ur phone is charging and not getting on. that means ON\OFF path is having problem .due to dry solder of ON\OFF switch its happening. please resolder it and then check it

I had the exact same problem with my C905. Managed to solve it by using Sony Ericsson's Update Service. I basically reinstalled the latest update and it fixed my phone.
I did however lose all my contacts/photos/games/texts from my phone. Just shows you how important it is to backup your data!

Guys i had the same problem and was about to cry because i love my w80i...i called sony ericsson and they said to go to: www.sonyericsson.com/support, select your region, select your phone type, click software downloads, and then update service. Download is free. :-) im going to see if it works, but the girl who helped me seemed to know exactly what she was talking about so good luck!

Hi, Ephraim. The flashing red light indicates that the device is showing "low battery". It could be that the LG phone charger fits the charging port on your bluetooth headset but it is not compatible with your device. In order for you to know that it is charging, the device should show a steady red light(means charging).

The chair will not move if the charger is plugged in. The flashes are normal with the charger plugged into the chair. The lights on the charger mean that the batteries have been fully charged. Red and yellow lights mean charging. After you unplug the charger from the chair (if off-baord charger, turn charger off or unplug from the wall) then unplug from joystick. after plug is removed from joystick press the on button and all the battery lights should be lit and when you move the joystick forward you will hear the electric bake release and the chair should move forward etc Hope this helps
I really don't have any idea as to what you're talking about here other than a battery and maybe a charger. Seems as if you're saying that you have a 12 volt 1.5 amp automatic battery charger connected to a 12 volt, 8.5amph battery but the red light on your charger is blinking. The blinking red light indicates that the charger is not seeing a proper connection such as crossed polarity connection or simply a poor connection. You say that the battery voltage has dropped from 12.5 volts to 9.1 volts with the charger connected. If this is the case, the battery is badly discharged and the charger is not charging the battery for some reason. The charger may be bad but check the connections to make certain they are correct and good. If they are, I'd replace the charger.
Very simple.Just follow this steps: 1. Connect the charger. 2. While the charger connected, open the back cover and close the cover again. Your phone can be switched on now. This is because this phone got sensor that ensure the back cover always closed while the phone operate. 3. If the above steps not working, try remove the battery while the phone is connected with charger.

I had this problem a few weeks ago (i.e. flashing red LED). All I did was remove the power plug from the charging unit, turned it around 180 degrees, then plugged it back into the charging unit. Red LED came on steady & the battery (which is the one that came with the camera) recharged as normal.
YOU PEOPLE IT IS JUST THE BATTERY THAT IS IN IT!.. BECAUSE THAT BATTERY IS NOT ONLY FOR AFTER IT IS CHARGED IT ALSO WORKS TO SHOW THE DISPLAY SCREEN! BECAUSE IF YOU TAKE OUT THE BATTERY THE LIGHT STAYS ON WHILE ITS PLUGGED INTO THE COMPUTER! MY BF IS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM TRY BUYING A NEW BATTERY!! ITS THE SOLUTION! the battery is caput!
Have you activated phone yet? When phone is activated and in service it flashes green. It's hard to believe it would flash green without a SIM card, as there is no service...unless AT&T is providing emergency service only and you're getting a flashing green which means you're in range of their towers.
