What wires go to what when you change from 220 to 110 on Jacuzzi pool pump

The wires use to be for 220. When we removed the wires from the motor housing the plastic board that the wires connected to broke. When bI wired it for 110 it would run for about 20 seconds then there would be a click and it would shut off. Need to know what wires go to what for 110.

SOURCE: Magnum Force Jacuzzi Pump stopped working

No serviced by pool technician. But you can look in your breaker box for a popped breaker, it should be 20 amp and be positioned in the middle instead of on or off position. Kirk

SOURCE: Jacuzzi jets & heater, won't stay running, need electrical schemati

Actually you can ground them to the copper pipe...any piece of metal material that comes in contact with the earth...hence the word water supply line or if you ran conduit..and a receptacle box (metal...) you could ground it to that....'

I hope this helps...good luck...thanks for rating my effort...the Fang.

SOURCE: pump stops running on high speed

You have a magnetek motor and it is overheating and cycling its thermal overload. A local electric motor repair shop may be able to fix it however it will likely need to be replaced. It is to costly to repair the motor if the damage is in the windings.

Assuming at that low a horsepower it is 115V, the likely replacement motor is a catalog #BN37. We sell it for $157. You are usually better off replacing the seal when you replace the motor and most Jacuzzi pumps are either a 200 or 1000. They should be around $5.

SOURCE: I have a jacuzzi magnum 1500 pool pump which

You need a 201 seal for the pump. Most electric motor shops that work on pumps and of course pool store carry these. If you are unfamiliar with how to change the seal, the charges to have it done are usually low. We charge $15 - $30 depending on how much of the pump is brought in and therefore remains to be taken apart to replace the seal. The seal is about a $5 item.

If trying yourself, you will need to completely disassemble the pump, lock the motor shaft at the rear of the unit, spin off the impeller, and replace both halfs of the seal.

How do you switch from 240 volts to 115 volts on magnum force pump

Is the motor a Dual voltage capable motor?

If so, the diagram for voltage change should be on the label.
It is also on the inside of the back cover were the wiring comes into the motor.

Most likely it is an AO Smith Motor that Jacuzzi used for their pump. The newer motors today are really easy to switch between voltages. There are 3 male spades on the back of the motor and a wiring plug with 2 female connections. You should easily see a diagram/bold arrow, for which 2 connections/spades are for 240 and which 2 for 120. Just lift and move the plug to one side or the other. 1 spade will not be used.

Take a look at the picture:

How to change the seals on a jacuzzi magnun force 1 hp pool pump

If you haven't already figured out how to change the seals on your Jacuzzi Magnum Force pump, I can help by supplying a diagram.
Here is the parts explosion for that pump.
Start by removing the case/basket assembly, then the diffuser to get to the impeller. Loosen the impeller to get to the seal plate.
When going to the trouble of changing the shaft seals one should change all the hosing seals at the same time because its a lot of work.

I have a Jacuzzi Magnum Force pool pump. 3/4 hp. Have a replacement motor. I have the motor out of the pump. How do I get the impellar off of the motor?

The other end of the shaft has a place to attach a 7/16 or 1/2" wrench. also, there might be a "Reverse Thread" screw in the center of the impeller that you must remove first.

Motor removal on a Jacuzzi magnum force pump.

The impeller is threaded onto the end of the motor shaft and the housing (pump body) is attached to the motor with the same bolts that hold the rear cover on the motor they run all the way through on most pumps.

We are having issues getting the impeller apart on the jacuzzi magnum force pool pump and need some instructions on how to proceed.

I believe the jacuzzi pump impeller has a locking screw directly in the middle of the impeller. You'll have to turn it clockwise to remove it. Then you'll need to remove the cover from the back of the motor using a 1/4" nut driver. Depending on the motor, you should be able to use a 7/16" open end wrench to hold the motor shaft from turning as you turn the impeller counter-clockwise to remove it. Some motors are different, some have a keyed shaft or require a special tool to hold the shaft while the impeller is removed. Hope this helps.

Jacuzzi pump not pumping

I would probably say that the pump is clogged up or frozen. The motor humms until the heat sensor clicks it off. Try taking apart the front of pump and see if it turns and you should see the problem. Parts are available at most pool stores. Pumps are usually cheaper online.

Do Magnum Force Pumps have a reset switch ?

No jacuzzi magnums do not have a reset button. First make sure breaker to pool is off, then remove rear motor cover, and take a look. Popping noise sounds like an arked wire. Could be a bad terminal or just aloose power wire. JACUZZI PUMPS ARE GOOD QUALITY, AND USSUALLY RUN FOR MANY YEARS. Pump can be removed for repaair, or motor replacemant by a qualified, and republe pool shop, for rebuilding Ussually rebuilding is about half the cost of new. Kirk
