The ice maker will not make ice with the water running in contently this keeps the water temp to high. Turn machine off, cut water supply off to machine, remove water inlet valve, ether take valve apart and rebuild it or replace the water inlet valve. Reassemble in reverse order and machine should make ice.

Water keeps running in ice maker

Turn off the machine if water is still running then unplug the machine. If the water is still running then check water presser from water supply to make sure it is under 80 psi before replacing water inlet valve.

My ice maker doesn't make enough ice cubes

Is the ice maker itself filling normally, meaning where the cubes are made gets enough water to cover the complete area or just a few slots? If not then check the fill tube where the water comes into the ice maker to make sure no ice has formed blocking the water from coming in.
Now if ice production in general has slowed, going from every 45 minutes or so to like every 6 hours, then your machine more than likely isn't getting cold enough. The ice maker requires the temperature be at least 10 degrees F or below for it to function properly.

What's your problem?ice maker isn't working

Assuming the coils underneath the ice box are clean and the ice box freezer section is running under normal operating conditions so that the ice mold thermostat can close contacts @25F, their are 2 suspects. The ice maker itself and the ice maker's water supply valve. Most of these supply valves have 2 solenoids for ice maker and water through the door. If the water valve is ok then the ice maker is bad.

Water thru the door does not work

First, is your ice maker making ice normally? If it is then you have water. If it isn't then it might be time to replace the water filter! If the ice maker IS working then it has to be either the dual water valve solenoid or the switch.

Ice maker does not make ice. Water supply works, but ice machine is dry.

if it is the ice maker in the door, it's a bad ice maker....we do a lot of them

Ice maker not making any ice!

it either is the water vavle burned out or the ice make went out usualy that is a common problem when the line freezes up to test the ice maker there take the front cover off ice maker then there should be two holes in the front a hole that has m and the on next to it put a jumper wire in that hole if it dont rotate the ice maker is bad. or if it is the other kind of ice maker take a flat head screw driver and turn the screw with on the motor gear clock wise keep turning it until it runs on its own you should get the same results like the above if ice maker test good the water vavle is bad check make sure you have no restrictions in the water line take the line off the vavle and let it run in a bucket to see what kind of water pressure you have it should come out fast

Ice maker over fill, water keeps running

If water keeps running to the ice maker all the time even when it doesn't call for water , the water valve for the ice maker is leaking(located in the back of the refrigerator, bottoom right),but if overflow only when it calls for water(no more than 7 seconds) the problem is in the ice maker control board, you can replace it but it will cost almost as a new ice maker.
