One oven not working

The fan does not produce hot air. It just circulates it. The thermostat turns on the heating element and the fan moves the hot air around. Unless you have an odd working machine. Baked bread for years an it only moves air for even heat.

The fan inside an oven is usually for convection cooking. It circulates air that is already heated. It is not a heater.

You need to replace the oven element, this is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.

It is most likely that the oven heating element has failed. You will need to have it replaced

Normally the heating element is located around the circumference of the fan assembly and when it is working it glows red. You would see it if it was on.

If your fan is blowing cold air, it's the air inside the oven that circulates. It has nothing to do with the fan. Convection circulates the existing air in the oven. Sounds like you might deselect the convection setting if this continues to happen. We have parts, so please let us know if we can help any further. :>)

How long is the oven in operation before you check the air flow ? Most Smeg ovens are electronically integrated and sensitive.
