SOURCE: TV screen went dark, but sound still there.

your backlight burnt out, this will be a maybe several hundred dollar repair. the screen is backilt by a very expensive flourescent light, without that light, the screen will be black.

SOURCE: JVC GM-P420E Plasma no video green screen

the problem is with the micro processor on the back of the fx-1169a board (gm-p420ug) this is the board the inputs connect to . yours may be a diffrent p/n due to yours bein a "e" extention model. to repair this problem you need to remove the processor from the socket, remove the socket from the board and solder the processor onto the board. the processor is ic002 on the back side the problem is thermal in nature due to cold solder joints on the socket. i have fixed this problem many times by using this method.

SOURCE: Vizio LCD Green Pixels

Our Vizio started doing the same thing after only three weeks, except it was also showing green pixel when we watched DVDs.  After checking this site and others and trying all the "tweaking" advised, I finally called Vizio's customer support.  They were extremely polite and tried to help over the phone, but had to send someone to the house to make the repair (anything 40 inches or larger earns a house call). The tech arrived on time and was extremely professional and pleasant -- he had to replace the daughter board and LVDS cables.  So far, so good.

Sleep timer shuts off picture but not the sound

It's possible that the power outage could have affected the TV's settings, including the sleep timer function. You may want to try resetting the TV to its default settings to see if that resolves the issue. To do this, you can usually find a "reset" or "factory reset" option in the TV's settings menu.
If resetting the TV doesn't work, it's possible that there is a software or firmware issue with the TV. In this case, you may need to contact Hisense customer support or bring the TV to a repair shop for further diagnosis and repair.

Screen getting darker

your case is the back lights inverter or lamp damage, you have to send to repair, find a laptop hardware specialist to do that, my repair cost (lowest)
1) repair the inverter board if repairable, $50
2) change the new inverter board $80
3) change the lamp $60

60" Projection Tv - Approx 6 yrs old

Your CRT fluid needs to be replaced. After many years the crt cooling fluid gets a ton of alage built up in the tubes.  This will cause the screen to get a halo effect or get darker.

You only need to replace the fluid in the blue and green tubes.

My screen has gotten much darker

use the advanced options page and reset the factor blue and red convergence defaults then do re apply the auto color defaults color at first it seemed very red (which is good because red was the missing factor in the green picture) but after reseting all the color and tints to the normal ranges I then reset the color auto correct again and all seems fine.

Sound no picture

Hi there!
If the set is a few months old, it should still be under guarantee. Return to seller for repairs. You will need proof of purchase and purchase date. Good Luck, JUS004
