Nope, there's a download online at TI's website but it's the same as the one that comes with the calculator.

SOURCE: my texas instruments ti-30Xa doesn't turn on!

It has a solar battery. It has to be in the light, either sun light or artificial light to operate. HOWEVER, if the battery is shot, it must be replaced. Take your calculator to any radio shack store and ask them to test the battery for you. If it is no good, they will be able to replace it for a fee.

SOURCE: simplifying fractions on the TI-30XA

Two ways:

1) hit the equal sign

2) hit 2nd and [d/c] (you can do this multiple times to see it as the most reduced improper fraction or as a mixed fraction)

2nd vars 2 (normalcdf( -999999,-.1923) Just trying to get area from z value -.0.1923 keep getting errors

The normalcdf function takes three arguments: the z value, the mean, and the standard deviation. In the "standard" case the mean is 0 and the standard deviation is 1. Thus, try calculating
normalcdf(-.1923, 0, 1) .

Okay so i am using a TI-30XA What is the button on this calculator for (Prb) ??

There is no probability key on the 30Xa as there is on the 30XIIS. The shifted functions of the 8 and 9 keys will calculate the number of combinations and permutations, respectively. The shifted function of the 3 key will calculate the factorial. There is no random number generator.

How do I convert from decimals to fraction with my TI-30X IIS calculator? I need the step by step process

The following examples will demonstrate how to convert decimals into fractions using the TI-30Xa and TI-30Xa Solar. Please be aware that TI-30Xa Solar School Edition calculators do not have this functionality.

Example: Convert .25 to 1/4
- Input .25, press [2nd][<--] (says F<>D above it).

** F<>D means fraction to decimal, decimal to fraction.

Example: Convert 1.38 to 1_19/50

- Input 1.38, press [2nd][<--].

Example: Convert 9.75 to 9_3/4

- Input 9.75, press [2nd]{<--].

Can I do numbers squared on this calculator, and how would I enter this?

The TI-30XA is a scientific calculator with many functions. You can calculate problems with fractions and decimals, as well as solve problems of probability and functions. A scientific calculator computes the number sentence you type in using the order of operations: parentheses first, then roots and exponents, then division and multiplication and, finally, addition and subtraction.
How to Use a TI-30XA
  • Step 1Press the [ON/C] key to turn on the calculator. Press the [OFF] key to turn it off. To use the calculator in solar mode, put the solar panel in the light and then press the [ON/C] key. To turn it off when in solar mode, slide the calculator cover back on and it will automatically shut off.
  • Step 2Replace the batteries by first removing the cover and placing it face down. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to unscrew the back panel. Remove the back panel and change the batteries. Screw the back panel back on. Press [OFF] [ON/C] and [ON/C].

The TI-30XA cannot solve algebraic equations. You need a more advanced calculator for that, like the TI-89.
