Cant get pictures downloaded from my sony ericsson995 to my applemac though its connected with the usb

turn off the phone and turn it back on, and if that doesnt help, try a few more times and then hit it a few times, and if that doesnt work, plug it in for the charger for a couple seconds and then it should work. It always happens to me, its getting annoying. also, make sure that the memory card is in it and it registers.

did you hit your phone?
try making 'Master Reset' (settings->master reset).if this doesn't work try flashing phone's firmware

Since you say that your computer can read your memory card, you could try puting a sim into your phone temporarily and then backing up your contacts onto your memory card...sony ericsson phones do provide you with that option.The procedure is: Phonebook--options--more--advanced--back up to memory card. my phone is the same model and did this but when i charged it, after about an hour it would come up with 'charging error stop ' and when i unplugged it, it hadn't even charged at all. and then the other day it just wouldnt charge, i plugged it in, it said it was charging but it wasnt. in the end, it worked by keeping the phone switched off and charging it while i was turned off. so try that, if not then i really dont know sorry
