SOURCE: Configure VPN
That 3Com really doesn't have a wahy of setting up a VPN.
As per the 3Com site it:
Support of VPN termination/initiation and passthrough allows secure connection to central office and/or secure access from remote workers.
So it will allow 3rd party VPN setups to pass through, but it doesn't have the ability to create one.
You might want to look into something like a Netgear Firewall

Unless, you can try another computer to connect or there is a tiny (and I mean sometimes pinhole) reset button to push, it may have seen its last day. It has happenned to me and I picked up a little 35 dollar Belkin that worked great.

Are you trying to connect to the wireless network on the windows VISTA / 7 computer?
Sometimes it will ask you for PIN number. you don't need to enter the PIN number.
On the same page you will get the option, I don't want to configure, i want to enter the key.
click on it and it will go to the next step. if you network is secured then it will ask you for the network key.
Enter the key and it will connect you to the network.
If you are trying to add any other wireless device in the network then try to bypass this step and connect to the network manually.
